At Last The News We Have Been Waiting For

So very pleased for the Bees and Panthers fans, good luck for the 2011 season
  3. Believe me when I say as KL fans we know how it feels to be without a club to support, and I hope and pray that both Bees and Panthers fans aren't in that position come January
  4. But we all feel the same about our promotions and clubs and will defend them if, of course, there is something to defend. That's human nature and is no different to supporters of other sports. AFAIK and all that might have been agreed is that if things don't work out financially for KL they are guaranteed a place back in the PL for 2012 no questions asked. None of us were there, so we all have to take the statements and announcements at face value from the relative clubs and the governing body.
  5. The KL fans have been told that they are making the move up at their own expense, along with other fees paid to every EL club by SKY and of course sponsorship. The KL fans trust in the KL promotion, unless of course you can prove otherwise, they have to take the promotion at their word.
  6. It wasn't an argument, you might like to argue but I don't, I was just stating a valid point. If KL and Brum had said no to moving up, then they would have ALL had to compromise and sort it out would they not? When KL went to the AGM they were running PL, afterwards KL suddenly are running EL, come on now, surely you can see what happened
  7. But if KL and Brum hadn't of moved up they would have needed both the Bees and the Panthers

    King's Lynn 2011

After this past week, nothing about our sport would shock me.

The big difference is with NCFC that many were (and we are) Season ticket holders that had already paid the club up front for matches, so you'd have been a idiot not to go to the matches you'd paid for a few months ahead of the season starting, and many paid up front a long while BEFORE we were relegated. Also it's not a case of not following your club, the thing that I am struggling with is that there are only 7 opposing teams in the EL and there are over 20 visiting teams to CR whatever league you are in, its not a case of not wanting, and for that matter we will always support the STARS, it's the fact of the limited opposing teams that we would find repetative. You have a passion for one team, that's great, but we support two, and that ain't cheap as I am sure any NCFC ST holder can attest to. SO £1 here and £2 there does make a difference, it's not just the costs of entry, it's travel costs too that all have to be taken into consideration. The only thing we can do is wait for the news tomorrow at 12. We will listen to what Buster and Rob have to say of course.

Just a thought having re-read the latest post on FB by the STARS, could it be that the reason for the delay until Monday is because there is another meeting over the weekend to discuss the problems in the EL? Whilst the statement says they are sorry for the confusion and concern it has not been eleviated and they must know what they are going to be able to release on Monday, as why state it will be 12pm? Just a thought and trying to make sense of things.

Are they sure as to the set limit for the EL as I thought that was what the dispute was about? The EDP say we will hear our 1-7 where as the short bit on the STARS FB page says ''team news''

    King's Lynn 2011

Mmmmmm. I don't think so, why draw away from what they have always done since we have been in the PL, and that is announce the 1-7 to the fans at a fans meeting, and where the press are also invited? I think, like AJH that this is not the announcement of the 1-7, but something more. If it is just to announce the new 1-7 for 2011, then I will be surprised. It is so unusual for our promotion to not engage with the supporters, and that's what makes me think there could be more to this. It is a press release from a news paper, and can be read in many ways, as said above. The one and only post since the AGM and prior to today stated ''team news by the end of the week'' and now it's Monday. Will we hear then?

No fans meeting to announce the team this year then? Wonder why

Hope you are right, we too were looking forward to the derbies

Yup, not impressed but what can you do? Don't understand why the press are being told before the fans at the fans forum. Oh well I am fast losing interest in this sport, what a bloody mess its in.
