Richard Lawson confirmed back at Glasgow Tigers next season: https://twitter.com/SpeedwayGB/status/796986438315282432

Danyon: born 25 July 1996 (20) Connor M: born 26 August 1997 (19)

No shocks in CL's latest soundbite on BBC Radio Suffolk this morning, simply reinforcing his opinion of Danyon and Connor Mountain and how much he would like to work with one if not both.

Jack Smith is a shoe in at No. 7.

Every team in the Premiership and Championship has to have a minimum of two British riders: https://twitter.com/SpeedwayGB/status/795573985102663680

British Riders who have never achieved a 3 point average can start on a two in both leagues next season. Where a rider has raced and averaged between 2-3 he will start nest season on that true average, i.e. Josh Bailey. Chris Widman announced as returning to the Wightlink Warriors in 2017. CMA as at 01 Oct 2016 shown as 4.53: https://www.facebook.com/groups/294612857236337/1334888149875464/?notif_t=group_activity¬if_id=1478530980015086

No Danyon? Thought you may want him back in 2017.

Lasse Bjerre announced as joining Sheffield Tigers on a reported 6.64 CMA (though the closing 2016 Greensheets show him as 6.65). http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.31566

Kings Lynn may have signed Danny as an asset from the BSPA, but it doesn't mean that he will sign a contract to ride for the Stars next season.
-
Talking with CL tonight he said to us that Danny may have been signed as an asset by Kings Lynn, but that doesn't mean that he will ride for them next season.
-
Yes, it was good to be there and hear the feedback that was provided for the "Massif" at tonight's event. Kevin Long is the ultimate professional and the members that were there were recognised by him - even though one did destroy a glass, whoops.
-
Well we'll swap the Sudbury one for Trimley then Sue, as long as you come along, The point of these is to include everyone, not to hold invite only events, and to be as inclusive as possible which means holding them in the areas that the members reside. And, of course, they are not compulsory, so it is your choice whether you join in or not.

From CL's comments on BBC Radio Suffolk just now, do we take it that the Witches will be tracking both Danyon and Connor Mountain on 2.00 point CMAs at the start of the season and that Danny King is definitely wanted and wants to ride for the Witches next season (and if he has been signed from the BSPA by Kings Lynn, does that lead to KL switching back to Wednesdays again in 2017?) All good stuff as usual to talk about until the team is announced in a few weeks.

Rory would have a converted 7.17 CMA for 2017 SGB Championship team building purposes, similar to the average that Morten finished the season with.

You know something Bruv of Bruv?
-
Nicholls on 9.23 or Danny on 9.57? I know where my vote would go.

Yes, Many Congrats to Matt and Louise. I read somewhere that a name change was being discussed during your invitation only meetings and some of us thought that "tru7massif" had a nice ring to it - despite some people associating massif with trendy teenagers, lol. Definition of Massif: massif play noun mas·sif \ma-ˈsēf\ Popularity: Bottom 20% of words Definition of massif 1: a principal mountain mass 2: a block of the earth's crust bounded by faults or flexures and displaced as a unit without internal change massif Also found in: Thesaurus, Encyclopedia, Wikipedia. mas·sif (mă-sēf′) n. 1. A large mountain mass or compact group of connected mountains forming an independent portion of a range. 2. A large section or block of the earth's crust that is more rigid than the surrounding rock and has been moved ordisplaced as a unit. [French, massive, massif, from Old French; see massive.]

Next meeting of the tru7massif to be held at 8pm on Thursday 01 December 2016 in the East Gate Inn, Colchester, followed by a meeting in Hadleigh (venue TBA) with a meeting planned for Sudbury some time in the New Year. All like minded speedway supporters are welcome to attend as these events are fully inclusive, not by invite only. Look forward now to the End of Season Do at Ufford Park tonight.

Chris Holder's average was 8.58 but moved to 8.95 with effect from 03 October 2016 which would be his starting CMA for 2017 before the x 1,4 Conversion making his opening CMA for Team Building 12.53.

With Lakeside announcing their intention not to run in the EL in 2017, did the stories circulating at Hoddesdon in August have some basis then?
-
So Lakeside are the first 2016 team to drop out of the EL for 2017. Watch this space then, but looks as if the "rumours" at Hoddesdon in August may have some basis now.

Lovely man, lovely family, brilliant commentator and journalist. Speedway heaven has been joined by a rare and natural talent. RIP Big Fella.

Pre End of Season Dinner meeting of the Ipswich Witches Massif to be held at 8pm on Thursday 3rd November 2016 at the Belstead Arms, IP2 9QU. All Massif Members and any other like minded speedway fans are welcome to come along.

Somerset V Sheffield 27.10.16
Reviresco replied to Cliffeboy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Delighted for Somerset. A proper speedway club with management that can spot potential and improvement in riders. Big up to Ronan who has shown some Ipswich fans the class he so obviously had and to BWD who many shied away from "taking a risk" with.
