  1. I am trying to find what matches of the Newcastle Auto Coachwork Diamonds 1993 Season on video/DVD I am missing from Brough Park this was Stuart Robeson's first season at this level also the year Paul Thorp rode of us as well as Garry Stead! The Reason for this I am trying to ascertain which match it was where Richard Juul got injured and the ambulance had to stop three times on the way to hospital this is long before the Wolverhampton incident may I add, I know it happened as I was there that night, rare for me to attend a full meeting in those days! I do have what I believe is most of the matches that year at home, but still not got that meeting in my archives. Thanks for any help in advance. Mike
  2. Thank you for that, it doesn't look like it's that match either then!
  3. Still trying to get the confirmation on Richards's injury from this season, after further investigation it appears that one of the matches I don't have is Newcastle vs Rye House on the 30th of May this was a rare two matches in two days as the 31st of May saw Newcastle against Long Eaton which I have that match. Does anybody have the video/dvd of this match, or even a program that could confirm this? I have the match on the 31st so it is not that one. Thank you for your assistance.
  4. That was a serious injury no doubt about it however that is not the match I'm referring to as stated in the first post, I made it was Newcastle in 1993 and the ambulance had to stop on the way to hospital (the general) three times even dickie himself had forgotten about it until I was talking about it to him a while ago!
  5. No as said above it was before that, it was before we closed down at the end of 1994 while he was a Newcastle asset!

    DVD's

Hi bloom89, Not sure if you still have these dvds available as just seen your post, if so & you are interested in doing a deal please let me know! I will keep an eye out for the next few days or so, as I don't visit the forum much now we no longer have a team to follow. Best regards Mike

    Newcastle now closed !!!

Not in the least bit surprised (if true) not that I'm doubting anyone but this club in recent times has been so close to the brink and been pulled back, but I'm absolutely devastated as that club means the world to me and I will never change my elegance. I am devastated I have not been able to go since Rob took it over, but sadly I am now confined to the house unless I attend hospital appointments via ambulance. Let's hope it can come back, however slight that chance is, as I believe it is two big a club to be allowed to go to the wall, so although I think it will be gone and forgotten I'll cling on to hope against hope!

    Nigel Pearson RIP

So sad to read the untimely death of what in my view was one of only a very few so committed and knowledgeable to the sport as a whole, I remember when he and Andrew Dalby did a double act at Newcastle in 2002 for Jesper's testimonial!! Rip Nigel

Pop up advertising on this site.

Also works a treat on youtube as well as other websites!
  10. Do Newcastle have a fixture on the 29th of August against Eastbourne? as after looking on the forum, the Diamonds website, and Trybooking website I can't see one, however if you look Here it tells you under the Newcastle section we have, but on the up and coming fixtures further down there is no fixture at all for us?

    Newcastle Diamonds 2021

Very interesting I hope this can go some way in our club being able to continue well into the future, all good stuff. A new venture which will hopefully help both clubs

    Newcastle Dvd

Did you get this sorted out? As if not classic speedway videos maybe able to get it for you as they've got the rights if not message me as I've got most of GRT media DVDs but won't go against the above mentioned company unless they can't supply. Best wishes Mike
  13. Very sad indeed to see this, but unfortunately not surprised good luck to all involved especially Rob, as a lot of people at the club know I only support Newcastle speedway so this would be a travesty for me to see my club go under. Sadly due to my physical limitations I don't see me returning to Brough anytime soon if ever, but rest assured I am still as passionate towards the club as I ever was. Best of luck Come on Newcastle speedway
  14. Well in that case why did we risk him in heat 15?
  15. Why do we take out Tero out of heat 13 and put him in heat 15?

    Stuart Robson

Hi Dave, as you have rightly added it was David Ruud and the season was 2003 with bjannre pedrson on the job share

    Stuart Robson

What is the lineup as I've not seen it? Also is there an address etc for people to send donations 4 people who can't attend the meeting and Stuart if you're reading this I would rather get someone to give it to you personally if not myself!!

    Newcastle 2020

Thanks for your well wish I can confirm now that I am out of isolation and clear of a flu, although still very ill in hospital due to complications but sadly Stewart Robson meeting was the only meeting I was guaranteeimg looking to attend in 2020!

    Newcastle 2020

Imo that shouldn't make any difference as he has not ridden for a long time now and there were far to many blank weeks in2019

    Newcastle 2020

Sadly due to health reasons currently in hospital after having an operation and also developing the flu afterwards which was slow down the recovery I'm currently in isolation so sadly will not make Stuart Robson meatimg, which I am devastated as it would be probably one of the only meatings that I would have attended all year so I hope all goes well for him. Good luck Stuy! As for Newcastle not running the meeting I think it is shocking he finished his career with Newcastle so that is a shame on the diamonds, but not necessarily shame on Rob because he's just taken over at the club but shame on others that could of and should of done it earlier.

    Newcastle 2020

Circumstances led me to live in Walkerville but I've nearly moved back a few time in the last 6 or 7 years to the west end I still have a huge soft spot for it, however that doesn't mean I don't like Wallsend or Walkerville either!
