  1. We use similar materials and our racing has been affected as well.
  2. It’s Interesting that stock cars gets good crowds at Foxhall and The Norfolk Arena, perhaps the stock car racing is good, I wish I could say that about the speedway at both venues but let’s be honest its generally pretty poor and has been for decades.

    SGP wild cards 2024

It appears to me that the FIM want all of the riders to go through the WC qualifiers and to be fair if they did it would make for a better quality field and avoid this sort of scenario of riders in the series that haven’t really got a hope, Lebedevs, Huckenbeck and Kvech are well out of their depth at this level.
  4. You and me both, the more matches that count the better
  5. Neither team are saying anything at the moment

Cannot find any news item on the gp site dated 22/9

    Torun 2023

I haven’t seen anything about the wildcard or the reserves for Torun, is it me or is the FIM GP website awful, I haven’t read anything that states Kubera is the wildcard although obviously I take your word Tim that it is him.

    Ipswich 2023

    Top of column C 1/10 - 1st October
  9. Belle Vue certainly lost this tie in the first leg at Ipswich, a good comeback but it was to big a deficit compounded by a poor start at home.
  10. Updates say Mick Bates
  11. The racing was pretty non existent as it generally is at Foxhall, it was all starts and first corners, after that it was pretty much follow the leader. Ipswich appeared to show more interest than Belle Vue and the result of the tie is all but over, biggest smile of the night was reserved for Ritchie Hawkins whose moustache made him look like a old style cowboy.

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

Your talking out of your backside, the only time you get Peterborough fans watching speedway at Lynn is when Panthers are riding there. Your in cloud cuckoo land if you think any different.

    Niether, both tracks are crap
  14. To be fair it was a shambles from start to finish Zmarzliks disqualification was the first but then we had commentators who clearly didn’t know the rules (not for the first time) a complete failure to provide heat results and then the complete farce of Basso being awarded second then third and back to second again. But the main gripe was the track which was as slick as a baby’s bum (not for the first time at Vojens) which was clearly overwatered at times and offered very little overtaking opportunities although managing to actually stay on the bike was apparently challenging towards the end of the meeting. I have never been to Vojens and to be fair it’s never been high on my bucket list but really the speedway there is bloody awful and one wonders why it was packed last night because it’s pretty much the same every time.

    Richie Worrall statement

It’s quite expensive and clearly the SCB have a budget, sounds like it was done thoroughly and correctly, if he hasn’t taken anything illegal he has nothing to worry about.
  16. Peterborough face Sheffield again Monday with the Tigers again missing their No 1 but on this occasion it’s Tai Woffinden missing following his crash in the British GP. Panthers face a 6 point deficit for the aggregate point after losing the first leg 42-48 on the 17th August at Sheffield. Teams Peterborough - Artem Laguta, Chris Harris, Vadim Tarasenko, Benjamin Basso, Niels K Iversen, Ben Cook, Jordan Jenkins. Sheffield - Tai Woffinden R/R, Kyle Howarth, Chris Holder, Josh Pickering, Tobias Musielak, Claus Vissing, Jason Edwards.

    Match Points received.

Because it means 3 points are available for each match and 2 points for a draw for the away side is a reasonable reward for getting close to a victory on an away track.

    Ipswich 2023

What cost you was a bottom four that rarely scored enough points to back up a very good top three. You were too top heavy

    Match Points received.

Absolutely no problem with 3 Pts for a win, 2 Pts for an away draw, 1 Pt for a home draw and 0 Pts for a loss. The superheat is a real waste of money and really only benefits a team with two real big hitters, now remind me who thought it up.

Kings Lynn v Ipswich 4th September

Of course it doesn’t have to be a Lynn supporter, I would have thought a lot of Ipswich fans will be there considering it’s important for Ipswich to win.

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

I am reliably informed that the comments on the AEPG Facebook page and the PCC planning applications website are causing problems for the company as pretty much all the comments are objections to the application. A few are thinking the Facebook page will shortly be removed due to the flak they are currently getting so any help from other supporters will be greatly appreciated, it’s important because a lot is going on behind the scenes and it’s in no way a foregone conclusion that this application will be approved and even if it is it will take quite a few years to get off the ground. Please mention in any comments the 53 year history and heritage of Peterborough Speedway and the fact that this planning application fails the PCC local plans LP30 and LP36. PCC LP30 refers to the fact that the loss of any existing leisure and sports facilities will not be supported unless replacement facilities are provided in accordance with policy LP30. PCC LP36 refers to the fact that no plans will be approved for more than 650 dwellings on the Showground, AEPG current plans are for 1500 dwellings. The aim is to continue at the Showground which will give the club time to relocate if necessary without any break in speedway, at the moment AEPG won’t even agree to a meeting or talk about the likelihood at all past 2023.
