Agree but probably down to the organisers of the Ben Fund to assemble the meeting riders. Workington Press and Practice the following week so it will be the first time people will see the full one to seven riders who will be lining up for the Comets. Yes I know other tracks are still to have there own practice sessions to fit in before the season starts. -

Can see your thinking but meetings cost money to promote/run and whilst riders will gladly turn up for this event I am sure they will need some costs to be met , plus this field of riders looks like being one of the best so far in the history of the event. The UK is going through a cost of living crisis and while there is not much difference between £20 and £23 the effect over a few thousand people is massive and will go a long way in helping riders now and in the future. -
In talks with a rider for the past two weeks to check the feasibility of a deal. Speedway Star.

“I decided I did not want to do the Championship in the UK in 2024 as the travelling is too much between here and Poland every weekend, but I did want to do the Premiership still. I guess because of my illness last year I underperformed so no one made an offer or wanted to take a chance but I am willing and able to come back if needed. So with the quality in the line-up for the Ben Fund meeting I can hopefully remind a few promotors what a fully fit Erik Riss is capable of.

In his latest interview Riss says he is not racing in the Championship this year.

A lot down to costs , cost money to run a meeting like this. I can accept not everyone can afford to attend meetings at this price in tough economic times . -

Will Worky sign a rider on maybe a 4.5-5.0 average on a possible short term deal and then maybe make team changes if necessary .
