    Cardiff 2017

Not going next year prices over the top now , many others saying the same.
  5. Hope to get back up to Glasgow. This year
  6. I was not there but some are saying it should not have started?
  7. After last weeks defeat against a rampant Glasgow side the Comets face another tough meeting against the Somerset Rebels who like Glasgow have two former Comets in their side , Josh Grajczonek and Charles Wright. I personally think the Comets can win this meet but it will be tough and all the Comets riders will need to be at their best!! Good luck Worky , stay safe.
  8. Can't believe the result of ht 15 I was sure Josh won it!!!l
  9. Good luck Worky tomorrow , Glasgow very strong at home , I went up for their recent match against Sheffield and they were very dominant.
  10. Good win for Glasgow and a great performance from Rene Bach, well done that man. The Tigers are very strong side and along with Somerset are likely title contenders. Looks like the play offs are out of reach for the Comets, would need a win at Newcastle to get us back on track. Good to see so many Glasgow fans at Derwent Park.
  11. So the Comets are taking on the Rebels who are flying high in the PL with only one defeat so far, so this has all the makings of a very hard match for Workington..... Now for the bad news the long range forecast for Saturday does not look good with rain from 09:00hrs on Saturday morning and set to continue during the day.....or they might have it all wrong!!
  12. Wells , masters, Cook and Stead in the final after two reruns only two riders left, Wells beats Masters.
  13. the thing is Gemini most of the threads are not that funny anymore , most just go into Poole hating or bitchin between two or three posters....
  14. Did not see you Paul, i was on the second bend with my wee lassie. My first visit to Glasgow since the stadium improvements and i was very impressed with everything that has been done to make the speedway experience much more enjoyable. Ok the racing could have been a bit better but Glasgow were very good on Sunday! Look forward to coming back again.
  15. The Comets take on the old enemy the Berwick Bandits on this Bank holiday weekend fixture at the later time of 19:30 hrs. As far as i,m aware both teams should be at full strength, so should be a good meeting and hopefully a decent Bank holiday crowd with the Kids for a quid offer still in force.
  16. Good luck Worky, can only see a big witches win though...
  17. Another good crowd and a good nights racing, i did think Ipswich would be taking all the points going in to heat 15 but step fprward Captain America again and save the day for the Comets.
  18. Going against the general view about Lindgren, yes the move was very hard but the right call from the ref!!!
  19. Not much to say untill the racing starts, hope its not spoiled by the weather.
  20. First of all well done to both sets of riders for putting on a good show in difficult conditions. Regarding Robert Lambert the man is obviously very talented , one only has to have seen his great pass on the outside of Hansen on bend 3/4 in 5 to realise this. Some of the negative comments from Workington fans about Lambert are petty and un called for (i agree its all about personal opinion though), yes his gating is not very good at times but the guy certainly has talent in abundance and his performaces on the whole cannot be gauged against two meetings at Derwent Park. EL average 8.00 PL average 9.19 (Speedway Star) On another point i did see Kenneth Hansen go over the white line in heat 3 but not on the heat he was excluded for but then again i had moved in to the back straight by then! The times for the heats were getting progressively slower as the rain kept falling throughout the meeting but this only added to the entertainment which just shows that speed is not the be all and end all when it comes to a good Speedway race. Looking at the League table this morning the top five look pretty well secure to qualify for the play offs, which leaves Berwick Newcastle and Workington to fight it out for the last place.......my bet is for Newcastle to grab it !!
