  1. I was confused over the handicap thing too but once I got into it I suddenly realised I'd never get the flaming hang of it anyway so resigned myself to freeze to death and enjoy the festivities and yes the emu racing was great fun to watch. Best race by far for us was heat 19. Was great meeting up with pammie again and Fd who finally realised who I was and paid me the biggest compliment of my life. Cheers Fd and if age is anything to go by then by the time I'm 70 I'll prolly only look 15...lol

  4. erm its stopped snowing do you reckon if we hurry up we'd be able to get a meeting on............lol joking!...but not about it stopping snowing...lol
  5. OI! I agree f4e it is easier to go by the nearest city/town/well known village etc especially when texting as you are usually limited to how many words/letters you are allowed in one text message. I dont know about rabbit but I'm not made of money or unlimited texts....lol I'll go and get back in bed
  6. cya then jim...take care all and hopefully see most of you at the restaging ps just given rabbit the news she'd got as far as oxford right gonna go make myself garlic chicken kievs, chips and peas for my dinner
  7. this has been the story of my life this week. I'm sure someone is trying to tell me something!!
  8. thankfully owlerton is in a dip with high hills surrounding it so hopefully the snow will pass it by
  9. 12.5 miles north of sheffield and snow is coming down thick and fast and is starting to settle on rooftops. its been snowing here since I got up at 7.30 The other week I left my house in barnsley where we had about 2 inches of snow already on the ground I travelled to sheffield (where I work) and there wasnt one grain of snow to be seen anywhere it was like arriving on a different planet...lol
  10. how about wood? its snowing well here in barnsley it is
  11. anyone heard any prices yet? I've just had a discussion we think maybe £15 per adult plus £3.50 a program any advance?...lol
  12. that was my second draft A61 the first I mentioned you a couple of times but thought better on it. hope to see you there
  13. you could also try http://www.premiertravelinn.com/pti/hotelI...o?hotelId=23982 its just off junction 36 of the M1 and in line with the A61 and about 10 minutes drive to Owlerton. there are other motels and hotels in Sheffield City Centre (expensive IMO) which are within easy reach of a tram (£2.20 day ticket going to either Middlewood or Malin Bridge) get off at hillsborough. or the Number 53 bus drops you off inbetween macdonalds and KFC on the A61 I'll be at this one but havent decided if its going to be the first of many this year or last one fullstop.
