  1. If his 2nd test does come back negative, and like you I hope it does, it'd make the fact that Glasgow were forced to ride with 6 even more of a mockery.
  2. James Hunt was a legend... I prefer a Jeremy Hunt, now he's a real cu...
  3. I don't think anybody is doubting that the rules were followed correctly are they?
  4. Speedway always used to test after meetings as well, I suppose the testing team are on double time at the time in the night so this is the cheaper option... but would you want somebody under the influence of vicks night nurse starting a speedway meeting?
  5. Good research, thanks... I don't doubt the ref carried out their duties to the letter of the law as it currently stands. The point is, should the rule be in the rule book in the first place? Obviously it's a matter of opinion, mine is that teams should be offered a facility to enable 4 riders to be called for every race.
  6. Doing your best Jimmy Savile impression there... you need to find a new hero
  7. So, what happens if the match is rained off before it starts or is cancelled prior to heat 10? Are you suggesting that when it's re-staged that the team with the offending rider should only start with 6 and no facility? They may even have a completely different team with new signings, injuries etc. It seems to me that this is a glaring loophole that needs closing ASAP. At the end of the day it cheats the fans who have paid to watch 2 7 man teams in 15 races
  8. You don't get red carded before a match starts though do you? I'm not sure but once a football team is declared an hour before kick off and a player is injured in warm up they can still be replaced. Until the meeting/match actually starts surely you should be able to make any changes you wish as long as it fits within the points limit
  9. Why? If he'd been randomly tested at home the day before would Glasgow have had a facility? Will they be granted a facility next time they ride, or are they expected to ride with 6 for the rest of the season? Not sure any other team sport wouldn't allow a replacement, would a football team be forced to field 10 players?
  10. He's already been proven not innocent, we're just waiting for him to be proved guilty now, how often does the 2nd test come back different to the first test using the same sample? The same old excuses being trotted out again just like they were in all of the cases last year.

    Cardiff SGP2.

Feels like it lasted 2 years!
  12. Just because it is written doesn't mean it can't be re-written otherwise we'd still be living under laws from the middle ages. What if it had been Harris & Flint who had been tested and failed, would you still be saying the same? As far as the club (and fans) is concerned what is the difference between a riders non appearance due to a failed drugs test and any other reason?
  13. Only 1 "positive" for Glasgow tonight
  14. 2nd test as in getting one done tomorrow to prove his innocence? I hope Worralls pharmacy is open on Sundays

    Transponders

Believably unbelievable... chuck them on the scrap heap along with the GTR's and the Anals () tyres

    Transponders

That makes sense based on heat 5 at Scunny last night where to me at least (and Lambert) it seemed that he got 2nd only for it to be given to Jason Edwards Schlein made a good point though saying he hoped the riders involved had remembered to attach their transponders to their bikes... who checks this before each race? The machine examiner?

    Tigers /Aces

Maybe Sheffield Wednesday are playing at Owlerton because they've seen the weather forecast for Tuesday at Hillsborough
  18. Far too many! And don't worry I'm well over it... didn't lose a wink of sleep last night, slept like a log even with that nasty scary wind blowing outside!
  19. You're right there, they always do, Rory Schlein was saying that on comms last night during the Scunny match. The question is how have we let the engines get to such a state where the gods of fortune have to be so greatly on your side to get a bog standard normal meeting on... and what is being done about it?
  20. Fair point, probably a poor comparison to F1 but in F1 for example when a race is called as "wet" the tyres are mandated, maybe speedway needs something similar, a setup to be mandated that allows bikes to cope better with wet tracks. Wasn't today's meeting not postponed due to a waterlogged track though, it was postponed yesterday due to a weather forecast of 70mph winds was it not? A forecast that when we all checked it out this morning could see had changed markedly, like it often does. Turns out the winds in Workington between 2pm and 4pm were only between 31 and 36 mph. What is the ruling as regards calling a match off due to winds? What is deemed "safe"? So far this season, of the matches I've been interested in we've had an opening night postponement at Leicester when Oxford were running just down the road, the Good Friday fiasco at Scunny, Belle Vue vs Sheffield going ahead in Easter Monday despite a horrific forecast and they barely got any rain, the return at Sheffield being postponed last Thursday due to an accurate forecast only to be rearranged for next Tuesday and then for that to be postponed due to "Stadium Availability" issues
  21. Unlike you, first and foremost I am a fan of Speedway and cancellations like this reflect on the whole sport, whether you realise that or not
  22. I know it's going to be difficult for you, but try and think and see If you can work that one out... enjoy your Workington Comets while you can because at this rate they'll be going the same way as the last promotion, you won't be laughing then.
  23. That's what they call progress I suppose. Back in the day at least they had a go. In F1, for example, when it starts raining they put wet weather tyres on. In Speedway we do nothing, just make the engines less and less rideable unless the track is perfect and the rider is near world champion standard and get a job lot of tyres that also need the track to be in perfect condition to ride... have you ever asked yourself... why?
  24. I'm not the one weirdly laughing and using capitals in some kind of deranged post expressing happiness that a meeting has been cancelled because they think it upsets somebody living in Leicester... but if it makes you happy, I'm happy for you I had a wasted trip to my living room to watch it!
  25. Not so much Leicester fan... more BSN subscriber
