I haven't been to a foreign GP before and am looking to book tickets for Wroclaw, really struggling with the tickets page, it won't accept postcode or passport number, any advice?

This is just getting ridiculous, only quoting this post but there are multiple similar ones. It has rained very heavy in this area since Sunday, the track was soaked down to its base and very soft. lots of work went on to correct this and improve with a view to getting the race meeting on, including blading the track. The track was very soft in places and on the bend it tore up when it was trying to be stripped back. This was caused by the weather and track staff having a go to produce a rideable track, it is very disingenuous to the hard working staff to throw lots of accusations about. There are only one set of covers, as a consequence only one match went ahead, if the covers went to Poole instead of Swindon would there be this great conspiracy theory against Swindon, it is also pure conjecture that the covers would have saved the Poole match, but it might have been enough. With regards to Thursday it was absolutely impossible to stage a match after all the torrential rain on the Thursday and days leading up to it, the last heavy cloudburst was approx 7pm

Is Winning At All Costs Destroying The El?
R-d-f replied to DarrenCook's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Hmmm..... Before the conference there was a consensus on here that the elite had been downgraded and was closer to the strength of the premier league that at any other time. People were saying that in order to win the league all you needed to do was pick up the next star premier league rider at a bargain average and you had a damn good chance of success, Hence the big cheque books were out to grab these riders and the winning the league (well topping the table at least) could be slanted your way. I'd rather have my speedway more even thank you! People thought halving the premier average was to lenient and causing the problem, the solution, altering the calculation..... So this gets done at the conference and self interest from two parties comes to the fore, maybe the calculation was a bit steep and 60-65% would have been better, but I have seen that the facts pointed to 73% so maybe 70 is fair. All the rubbish pointing to Matt Ford is a smokescreen, yes Poole have benefitted from having large cheque books in the past but this avenue was about to, and needed to be plugged. Two teams jumped the gun and signed riders without thinking through any potential changes, I guess they would have been better off staying at the conference and lobbying for 65% than throwing the toys out of the pram. It is these selfish, im alrightJack attitudes that are killing speedway, The Poole promotion may have in the past been guilty of this, but they have never acted as spoilt and tried to hold the rest of the league to ranson as these two clubs are doing. The promotions at these clubs should hang their heads in shame. -
2008 Grand Prix Series
R-d-f replied to T.N.T.'s topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Would agree that has to be right with Lindgren and either Hampel or KK 3 Poles including Holta (cough) 2 Swedes 2 Brits 4 Danes 2 Aussies A yank and a czech all depends on whether the older guys Adams Gollob and maybe Hancock fancy another go tho -
The manoeuvre Scott did on Chris was a desperation move because there was a lot at stake in that race.... Teammates is irrelevant that sort of incident is seen in every Gran Prix and is almost inevitable.... Scott made a rash passing attempt, made contact, and was, for him very lucky not to be excluded.... to see any more into the incident than that is ridiculous A lot of people are looking for a bit of bad blood I'm sure Chris is annoyed and gutted, but is more than capable of attempting the same pass if the boot was on the other foot. Not sure the same fuss would have been made if it was an incident with Chris and for example Rune Holta.. Its the referee's job to ensure fair play It would seen on this occasion that he failed badly...... not the first time a ref has done that tho!
