I think they have backed themselves into a corner with a friends bid in order to maximise the price. If they accept the previous withdraw why not yours? Just say sorry I received it as a present for my birthday so don’t need another. According to the rules you can retract a bid within the 12 hour deadline. Then just leave it - don’t respond.

This seller has 2 bids so don’t understand the problem retracting yours. Unless they are playing games and it’s backfired. Apologise with a good reason (someone bought for your birthday) and at least you have another bidder (sounds false with their strong stance). Can you share the link? This price is too cheap compared to others. I’ve searched Amazon many times and can’t find anything available. There are a few Alan Carter authors. Just hope he has ordered the correct one.

Okay no problems. My copy is available if needed. It will still be in the same drawer for a long time so won’t miss it. I’m still on Kelly Moran’s book. M Lee’s was a good read but I think we all knew most of the content. Little tip on eBay. I wouldn’t place a bid with 3 days to go, it often ends up just pushing the price up. Leave it to the last 30 mins of the closing day. Good luck.

There is a copy on eBay but not in great condition. Currently bidding at £20 with 3 days to go. Others available for £50. Or you can bid for a signed copy starting at £140. Amazon are out of stock. The last time I looked the used book was valued at +£100. The offer is there if you need it, it is a great read. You sound very much like a trusting guy. Also you’ve told us where you work :-)

It really is a good read. Although difficult to get hold of now due to being sold out. Which increases the price considerably. I don’t mind posting my copy to you then return when finished.

The best book I’ve read is, ‘Alan Carter: Light in the Darkness: The Truth About Mal, Kenny and Me’. One of those books you just can’t put down. Opens your eyes as to why Kenny had Alan had their demons.

If, as you say Hans is definitely in, I hope they are not the same bikes as last season.

For some reason PC has never remained a favourite of mine. Always felt he wasn’t a people person. Always some connection missing, but this was in my younger days. After what he wrote in Steve’s book I feel proved correct. A very bitter man.

Me too, absolutely no way I could attend Speedway at the worst track in British Speedway. However, I’m pleased there are Wolves supporters that do. Small track Speedway is not for me. Each to their own.

Agree - but certainly would not assume he would be first on the team sheet. Will Poole move up in 2024? I’m not so sure. CH 2023 form will also be decisive. Poole don’t make emotional decisions. It’s all about winning, as it should be.
