Natalie Quirk joins the BT team as the pit lane reporter replacing Gavin Emmett who is taking over from the retired Keith Huewen in commentary.

She is leaving her role as anchor on for the Speedway GP’s.

Marquez is not riding this weekend.

Cheers for that info Tim. I did hear MM93 wasn't riding at Qatar.

Mike Scott has said in this week’s MCN that Marquez is not expected to race until Jerez, but with MM you never know. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him do a practice day in Doha but Bradl doing the race.

Dovi is testing the Aprillia in April at Jerez.

Thanks Tim, didn't hear that about Dovi!

Well we're only ten days away from the start of the season and I can't wait to get some normality back into this strange world we've lived in for the past year.

I thought that last year was brilliant because it brought about a complete change in the hierarchy of motogp.

Obviously if Marquez is fit, the spotlight will be on his every move too see if he can reclaim his title,  and how will the youngsters manage in solidifying their progress of last year in the absence of Marquez. Plus,  how will the old boy do in his new team. Only seems a few years  ago that he entertained us all as a fifteen year old when I first saw him race in Bruno.

Yep fully agree jrs, can't wait for it to start again. I see MM93 had a tentative ride on the mini moto and a road bike so can't really see how he can be fully race fit but we will see.

VR46 is struggling at the moment but that is not so unusual for him as he never really shines in testing and practice. I really hope he can get hi mojo back and at least compete with the young guns. I do think Petronas team will suit him.

The way other Moto2 title contenders are performing at the moment if Lowe got a couple of 4th places on Valencia he would still be leading the championship. Lowe is full of confidence at the moment, look forward to see what he can do.
The progress of Jake Dixon is really interesting, he might just make a podium in the last 3 rounds, but next year could be a good year for him.

In Moto GP, who is going to end up as world champ? Quartararo hasn’t been consistent enough, Vinhales should have used his superior experience to beat the youngsters but hasn’t, likewise Rins, Joan Mir could do it if he can get a win in the next 3 rounds, Ducati need to take a long look at their management technique at the moment, KTM are finding it difficult to come up with consistency that is needed, Morbideli and Alex Marquez have come to the party a bit too late except to be spoilers. Will be an exciting finish to the very unpredictable season.

Even if Lorenzo rode Rossi’s  bike, he wouldn’t do much good. Apparently he only tested twice this year, once early season and then a few weeks ago at Portimao and that was on last years bike and he he was well off the pace. You can’t miss most of a season and be expected to be on the pace, these guys have been racing at 200mph all season, Lorenzo has’nt - that makes a big difference.

I think Rins might win it. Not just because he is leading as I tipped him 3 or 4 races ago.

We are gutted, we had race tickets for the 3 days at Portimao and it has now been announced that there will be no spectators. We have been waiting for MotoGP to come to Portugal since the circuit was built and have watch WSB there and it is spectacular!!

Reports on motogp Twitter that Marquez has a broken humerus, due surgery tomorrow. Apparently caused when the bike hit his arm .

Yes, flying to Barcelona for the op. Knowing him he will try to come back far too early.

  6. Cal thinks it's not over yet. He says Lucio still wants him in the team but Honda pull the strings as they fund the team to the tune of £12M! He also has other options too so sounds like we may not have seen the last of Cal maybe.

Ive found in the past that my account accessed via my tv doesnt always tally up with that accessed online, also sky stagger in length there discounts given on different packages you subscribe to during a contract period so the discount drops off and your bills can differ with this,  if you dont keep an eye on your account you can find you pay more without realising it.

    Cheers. Thanks for that.

I read a few weeks ago..... Rossi has agreed with Yamaha that he will let them know by half way through this coming season whether he will retire at end of 2020. If he doing poorly he willl go end of year. However, if he doing well, for 2021 he will go to the Petronas team with full blown Yamaha first team bike and full works backup. This will allow Fabio Quatararo move up to full Yamaha team 2021, I understand he will have a full factory bike 2020.

Yes that is what I heard. I guess Vale is still a valuable commodity for Yamaha with his huge merchandising power but they can't ignore Fabio as he has been the only rider to take it to Marquez last season and they can't afford to lose him to another team.

I get that YOU implied 'most' not him! He is welcome to give examples. I notice it was only a few as only a few have improved! Not the 'generally' rubbish you come out with which you still haven't backed up.

I’d imagine yes they are. Someone can’t let it go. I was so over it a week ago.

Is this the one pound argument?

Man: Ah. I'd like to have an argument, please.

Receptionist: Certainly sir. Have you been here before?

Man: No, I haven't, this is my first time.

Receptionist: I see. Well, do you want to have just one argument, or were you thinking of taking a course?

Man: Well, what is the cost?

Receptionist: Well, It's one pound for a five minute argument, but only eight pounds for a course of ten.

Man: Well, I think it would be best if I perhaps started off with just the one and then see how it goes.

Receptionist: Fine. Well, I'll see who's free at the moment.

That's nice, I don't think most speedway fans would want any club closed, I expect most clubs would have trouble selling their club especially if they didn't own the stadium they ride on.

No it's not a nice comment. I know what it is like to lose your speedway team but sadly there were a number of Poole supporters on this forum who enjoyed watching Coventry's demise. You were certainly not one of them but it is hardly surprising that you are getting some of these responses now. Poole won't be missed that much because they never did have large number of travelling fans but every PL team being lost to the league is a huge blow to the sport.

I sincerely hope you have a successful season in the Championship and I hope the team/club continues for many years.
