That did make me laugh to be fair!

23 minutes ago, TesarRacing said:It will be interesting to see the final signings for Poole but looks like they could be a strong team if they get the last 3 right which I am sure Ford/Middleditch will!
On the Poles, personally think Szczepaniak will be ok but wont set the world alight but he will be dependable and hold his ave at least. Woryna on the other hand is a very different proposition. Watched him many times at Coventry and saw many glimpses of brilliance. He has obviously improved immensely in the last 2 seasons and I would be amazed if he didn't translate that into some excellent performances for Poole. In fact I will be so bold as to predict a 7+ ave by the end of the season. But he brings much more as he is a lovely lad and had loads of time for the supporters especially the younger ones. Both astute signings IMO.
Agree that Kacper will do ok not sure about Szcepaniak though. Woryna was only 19 when he come over to ride for Coventry and was quite inconsistent I would expect that will be different for 2018.

Like I said click screen name history on my profile and it will show you the 3 names I mentioned.
Wont be replying to any further comments on this thread as it will just go round in circles.
Who were you on the forum before 14 Dec 2016?

Poll currently 86 yes and 338 no.

Seems to me reading this that Coventry speedways time is completely up. Even the fans on here seem to want the team to fail.
Some of us realised this in 2010!

The problem is that years ago a good proportion of riders were amateur and had full-time jobs so were not paid that well plus the cost of equipment has rocketed so not sure how you can go backwards to that business model.

Elbows kicks and bites. As i said, we are lucky to have speedway on the TV.
I would be more interested in bt sports showing league racing than the gp series. We can watch the gp on numerous tv platforms but not league racing.
When will we find out if bt are interested in continuing showing league racing would be my question.
For once I agree with these 2 posters! Starry is right - all we hear from a good proportion on this forum is moaning about speedway and the way it is ran but we expect a major TV company to show British Speedway.
And I also prefer to watch league racing rather than the GP's, personal opinion of course but one I share with Steve.

Schlein & Newman riding at both Peterborough tomorrow & Ipswich Thursday.
Weather looking good for tomorrow.
Cheers Noodles!

Is that both legs or just the Ipswich fixture? May go along to the meeting at Peterborough tomorrow!Second leg on Thursday at Foxhall. Ipswich set to include @RorySchlein3 and @KyleNewman91 both back from injury #boomping
Tweet from Mike Bacon. Thats a nice bonus!

Sshh.. we are not allowed to be critical of Pearson on this forum.
Why?

They are certainly not happy! Brandon is a village and it will double the size of it, infrastructure isn't in place for 140 odd new homes. They've reduced the number of houses and added some open areas with paths for dog walkers etc. How long after the houses are built will they want to build more on these open areas?
So true Warren. I have an employee who lives down the road from the stadium and he and all his neighbors are not happy. Most have objected but the council have just said they will take into account all residents views!

I realise this video has been around for a while , but it is an opportune moment to remind us of the history of Brandon Stadium.
Don't forget to switch on the sound.
Great memories in there Dave. Been going since 1972!

Anyone know the rider line-ups for this meeting?
-
Not over yet
It is now!

After tonight, can anyone honestly see Swindon somehow managing to win 42-48? Before tonight 42-48 could be expected. However Swindon were so outclassed it would be the biggest comeback since Lazarus.
I hope you are not a betting man as you must lose a lot of money!!

Swindon are now clearly favorites but a lot will depend on firstly if Doyley puts it all in 100% and how fit Ellis really is.
Could be closer than people think.
Nice to see the sore loser from Poole chomping away still
The weather looks like it will behave itself for both legs...
I think it will be close.
Show me where you or anyone else predicted differently.
There's 2 for a start off!!!

Well you called it monumentally wrong in the first leg so just maybe they can!!!!!!
Anyway, it isn't an anticlimax for the neutral!

Wolves without Lindgren and Thorsell Would be nowhere near as strong as Poole. With very limited choice of guest and r/r it will be a stroll in the park for Swindon. It really has just been handed to the robins on a plate. All they have to do is turn up. Seriously.
What a shame the grand final has now turned into the biggest anti climax the sport has seen since the inception of the playoffs.
Your predictions don't get any better do they Steve?!
-
Has anyone made the link between Brandon Estates and Sandhu yet? Pretty obvious they are connected.
I hope the council point blank refuse Brandon Estates any planning permission. Let them sit on Brandon for a decade or more.
I know you have always held this view Steve but I personally don't think he is connected with Brandon Estates. Could well be wrong and I guess it will all come out at some stage!

No return to Brandon for Bees:

I don't agree.
You don't win the U19 title by beating 'highly rated Poles if you aren't talented.
Highly impressive young rider, so all good news for GB.
You never do lol.
I don't agree either.
Ditto, I don't agree!

not convinced its the cleverest team talk, should be trying to motivate the team to make the play-offs if only for a 40k take on the gate even if we got trounced in the semi, middlo walking around like a lost sheep and a poor crowd for august
I think it depends on the individual Keith. Some riders could be really fired up by comments like that from the 'boss' whilst others might think why should I bother! I do think it is very odd that Middlo is so quiet on the teams under performing though.
