    Newport City Stadium To Close.

It’s got everything, and more.......situated in a high profile location on the Spytty International Sports Village, alongside the Welsh International Velodrome and Newport Cycle Speedway Track. Adjacent to a busy dual carriageway on a major bus route, easy access, dedicated car park, reception entrance foyer, administration block, offices and function rooms. Substantial undercover terraced seating on each straight, flood lights. Plenty of room for a pits area, good access and space for storage of plant and machinery.......and the track could be enormous, our very own Bydgoszcz in Newport, we can but dream!!!

    Newport City Stadium To Close.

http://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/news/10219422.Newport_stadium_could_close_to_save___50k_as_part_of_council_cuts/?ref=fbsend I’m sure that if the right person/persons stepped forward and made their intentions known, the loyal supporters of Newport Speedway would do their bit to help make it a reality. Whether it be fund raising or volunteering our time and services, we’ve done it before and we’ll do it again for the right promotion........here’s hoping.
  3. Behave yourself Dickiemint, that's far too sensible for the BSPA to consider.......think of something that's logistically impractical and upsets a large proportion of the fans, and your nearly there!

Newport Wessex Bus Hornets V Weymouth

How can the Newport promotion expect to encourage more people back to Queensway Meadows when they can't even get the basics right, the track was a total disgrace last night! How the hell the NL boys got through the meeting without any serious injuries is amazing, well done to both teams for giving 110% in totally unacceptable conditions. Chris Slabon came out for a practice at the end of the meeting, had a few laps of bucking and rearing, nearly got spat off every time he came around bends 1 and 2 and decided to call it a day - Newport Speedway need to get someone in who knows how to prepare a track, and fast.......The Welsh Open should be interesting, or an embarrassment !

    Welsh Open

That's one hell of a round trip from Pontypool to just buy some bread. Your obviously not Welsh!

    Welsh Open

Tinytimrebel, find yourself a nice big carrot - you know where to stick it!!!
  7. BSPA you are a laughing stock, please explain how you put this tournament together???????
  8. What about family tickets?
  9. I can't believe everyone is getting so excited about a programme cover. It's fine - not a brilliant design, but not bad either. I'm sure there are 100 and 1 more important issues to address to get the meeting on for Sunday!
  10. Your wish has been granted davidba! Taken from the official Wasps website: The New Year Classic returns to its rightful home of Newport in 2010. After a year off in 2009, the Classic returns to the Welsh club and riders are already looking for a place in the lineup. "We are pleased to annouce that the New Year Classic will return to Newport on the 3rd January 2010, with a 1pm start time" said co promoter Nick Mallett. He added: "Riders have already made contact with the club regarding a place in the line up. We will be running a 16 rider individual meeting, with the top 4 scorers going into the final". It is expected that Rider names will be released for the event shortly.
  11. It's back were it belongs - well done Steve and Nick!

Definitely Newport, the M5 is a nightmare on a Friday evening – everybody trying to get to Devon and Cornwall for the weekend. Missed the start of the meeting 2 years running because of the traffic jams, even though we allowed plenty of time – fans were even using the hard shoulder! Newport is far easier on the pocket and the nerves. Even better, if you’re staying in Cardiff get the train over and have a few beers!
