Dons fans from the era you used to go to Plough Lane on a regular basis what would your Dons Dream Team look like? I used to go every week in the 80s and the 90 and 91 season before they moved to Eastbourne that year so mine would look like. 1. Jessup 2 Simmo 3 Ferreira 4 Roger Johns 5 Jamie Luckhurst 6 Todd Wiltshire 7 Ray Morton Team Manager Russell Lanning.

What memories do supporters have of the old Wimbledon v Hackney clashes at Waterden Rd and Plough Lane? League matches, Ko Cup or the old London Cup derbies. The one that springs to mind for me was the London Cup clash at Plough Lane in 1989 when the Kestrels needed a 5-0 to win the Cup and they got it!!!!! Neville Tatum fell and was excluded in the original staging of Heat 16 then in the re-run Andy Galvin and Garry Tagg sandwiched Todd Wiltshire out of the start and Todd got excluded. The Pit Bend Loonies went mad!!!!! I also remember Hackney clinching the double by winning the Ko Cup at Plough Lane. Wimbledon every Weds and Hackney every Friday those were the days!!! Wouldnt it be great if they could have a Wimbledon v Hackney fixture at Plough Lane again this season Kelvin and Ripper could guest for Wimbledon with Moggo, Loramski and Chris Louis for Hackney. Go on Mr # Name Removed # the place would be packed out.

Vincent Vega replied to phillipsr's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I told you Sparklers fans that Watt was a bad signing. He was past it in his last season for us giving up in races and not looking bothered. I hope he turns it round as he seems a nice geezer. -

Looks like Watt is a bad signing like I said he would be. -
Wonder if they will restage the meeting at Saddlebow Road. Better track Darcys first club in British Speedway and his best mates club makes sense.

Just seen this very sad news. Bryn was Mr Speedway. Remember back in the late 80s early 90s he did the London Speedway Hotline where he would be at meetings and you could phone up and get the scores with Bryns match report. This was the best way of getting the info as ceefax back then was terrible. He would be at all Hackneys home and away meetings sometimes as team manager. Would also see him at Wimbledon every week and he must have done all the Rye and Arena home matches aswell. When Wimbledon and Hackney closed in 1991 he was at all Arenas home and away matches for years never knew him to miss one. He must have been at speedway at least 4/5 times a week. Thoughts with his family and friends at this sad time. Top fella RIP Bryn.
