    Kent Kings 2020?

I've been off this forum for some time now but have just checked back in - I walked past Plough Lane today and I had a tear in my eye, no it wasn't the wind but the unbelievable amount of construction that has gone on. The football stadium has been completed but obviously, with the pandemic, they are not allowed to play there yet. Being a local and going down the dons all my life I really miss the place and having seen pictures of the football ground, I cannot understand why speedway is completely out of the frame. The other thing that bothers me is they haven't done anything for the infrastructure in regards to transport etc but hey, what do I know. Now sorry about my rant and back on subject Kent Kings is now the closest track to me and I will go when I can but that early start time just kills me getting there most of the time. Good luck to everyone racing this year and I hope we do get to see some racing

    lakeside 2019

Which is exactly what happened to the Plough Lane, Wimbledon track - the new development going up there is being built on a flood plane. There was supposed to be an order on the land saying it had to remain a sports facility only!

    Rye House 2018

Ben, you really mean Hawkins, there is no way Len would ever let Bowen go back then

    Rye House 2018

That's exactly why I haven't been to a Speedway meeting this year, No chance of me risking the M25 car park mid week for Rye House or indeed Lakeside on a Friday Night

    joke

Oi! leave me out of it! I don't have deep pockets
  6. I have no idea why, but watching this as a neutral I have a big smile on my face that Wolves have won the first leg?

Anyone got any news as to if its on, track conditions, any rider changes etc Thanks (This post has somehow ended up in the PL section as well ???)

    Rye House V Plymouth 25/06/2016

Yep, My Mistake - Sometimes you have to read these things
  11. Obviously lots of interest in this one as nobody has started a thread yet Not sure how many will go with rain forecast, Wales v Northern Ireland and the GP. If it does go ahead I think Karger returns to reserve. Is there anyone going?
  12. Weather forecast is for heavy rain between 7-8pm / with a 3 hour round trip I don't want to risk it
  13. Can't see a thread for this one! Looking at the forecast I doubt it will go ahead although it's due to stop raining around 1pm so if the track has been covered then ............. ? Anyone living near the track have any more information please ? If it goes ahead then a win for Rye looks on the cards.

    Rye House 2016

HaHa - Just checked out the new Rye website and clicked on the link for sponsorship - it took me to a blank page and I noticed the link was wrong as it said SPOONsorship - perhaps it's karma
