  1. Interesting to see Bet 365 individual scores and on the two previous meeting at the EESG only Jay Etheridge @ 6  scored higher in both matches.

Surely MPT  should get more than 3 and Tom Brennan more than 2 and Jordan Palin more than 2 although he has not scored a point at home against BV at home.

With Craig Cook a home win looks likely

  2. This might be the last time that the bookmakers put up odds on a league match ever. Possibly around 4 left and at one time there were around 20

Tonight Peterborough at +6 looks quite generous as the have not lost at BV this season and BV have had a few close meeting where they should have done better

Hans Anderson over 5 looks interesting as does if fit Michael Palm Toft over 5 as well

I would suggest that there are far more people who still follow the sport pretty closely who WON'T be attending any meeting this week than the amount who do..

Many, many thousands more followers not attending than those who actually will...

And it will be all down to the ludicrous way it is ran, and the ridiculous cost to get in for no more than 16 mins actual entertainment...

Go horse racing on the flat ---That's around 6 minutes of actual entertainment

Sky Bet & William Hill have odds up for the SoN they don't realise that Emil and Laguta have pulled out.

    You can get Poland @ 7/4, GB @ 13/2, Australia @ 6/1 or Denmark @ 8/1

Fill your boots on one or more selections before the bookies realise Emil and Laguta have pulled out.

I think the bookies already knew EM/AL had dropped out as they were offering Russia at 40/1 but good shout though as now Evens Poland

I agree with chunky and not midland red on this, definitely there were some guys very lucky to get to the World Final , and certainly  to win it. E.G. in the first category Bryan Elliott, in the second category no way could Jerzy Sczakiel have become World Champ. in a GP series -not sure about Egon Muller either.

I think JS is much derided as not only did he beat Ivan Mauger to win his World Individual  he won the World Pairs as well in 1971. He partnered Andrzej Wyglenda . They scored 15 points each for 30 points. Who finished 2nd on 25 points none other than Barry Briggs and Ivan Mauger 3rd was Anders Michanek and Bernt Persson. So was this title a fluke as well

His problem was the restriction placed on him by the Polish authorities who blocked him from leaving Poland too many times

  6. Surely there should be room to run Grand Pix and an individual competitions in the same season. Other sports do. I used to think the  qualifying   rounds  in the individual  event  were great .A rider would have one home meeting and two away and highest scorers went to the final 16.

Speedway does not have extortionate prices and it never has. In terms of your own lifestyle, earnings or priorities then YES Speedway does have extortionate prices and is bottom of the feeding barrel.

It's a dying sport and it'll be gone very soon in GB unless there is a massive shift in peoples thoughts.

All I read is moaning about the cost being too high, not value for money, 15 minutes of racing shouldn't cost blah blah, not enough passing, riders doubling up, guests, rider replacement, rain offs, poor track conditions, poor stadium conditions and the list is endless.

Well guess what, Speedway is almost finished in the UK so enjoy it whilst you can.

Everyone go as much as possible for the next few weeks as it won't be there next season.p

    What a load of rubbish
