Nl Pairs - 5th Sept @ Kings Lynn
rhidassa replied to Sings4Speedway's topic in National League Speedway
So, I should be attending this to cheer Eastbourne on (whether I get a student concession or pay full adult price ). Hoping the weather is kind, though I know it won't be so kind as to be nice and warm! Hope it's a good crowd. -

Considering making the drive over for this one, been too long since we've been over to Eastie for a watch -
Where Did All This Arguing Happen Before The Internet?
rhidassa replied to Shale Searcher's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I've had pictures of me as my profile picture on and off, but I have no intention of changing my username to my actual name. I use this username everywhere, and it's not difficult to work out who I am if you want to talk to me (or argue with me ). I've known worse forums - for instance one where you didn't have to register to post. You will never know who everyone is on an online forum - just the way of things, I guess. -
Eastbourne V Buxton Sunday 09/08/2015 3.30 Pm

Sadly going to miss this one, so going to have to catch the updates. Will be watching with interest -
Looking forward to going back to King's Lynn for this one (even if my old Lynn buddies are abandoning me for Poland ). Forecast looks good so shouldn't be any issues.

Alan_Jones is correct. Unless 3DP separates the riders, where the riders have a previous MA, then the highest place rider from the previous issue retains the higher position. So if they're the same on 3DP, Georgie must stay at reserve. Assuming, of course, the SCB are upholding their own rules.

Yeah initially the neck brace was for 8 weeks, he can take it off for a short time every day now - basically has to build up to being able to have it totally off over the next 4/5 weeks. Because he had it on for so long, if he took it off straight away after a couple of days he'd be in a lot of pain because his neck muscles haven't been doing anything for the last 2 months, so has to build them up again gradually. And he isn't even allowed to drive or work until the brace is off so definitely no racing!

Warwick is not fit yet and still in a neck brace. He won't even be fully out of the neck brace until the end of July - then when he could come back will depend on physio etc. Unfortunately it isn't as simple as just broken bones healing with the ruptured disc and nerve damage as well. Nice to know he's not forgotten though

Reading this conversation, pitstop said he wouldn't be surprised if Kelsey did after speaking to him (no bets involved). He didn't say he wanted him to, or that he was...

Eastbourne 'it First' Eagles V 'restart' Rye House Raiders (nt)

From second bend, it looked like Andrews got it, but was given to Branford - was hard to tell from where I was stood, though. -

I'm hoping to be able to come across for this, to see another Eagles win -
But I can support Danny and Lynn who are technically my team... but I am supporting the Eagles too this year, so I might just stand looking confused
-
Looking forward to this one, though I have yet to decide which team to support!

Think there's a thread about the Championship of Sussex on this thread: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=78929

Wow, you guys do talk a lot. What comes to mind in the whole being negative/realistic debate is the fact that everyone is giving their opinion, based on their own knowledge and perception, ergo nobody is right or wrong yet - you've just made differing predictions. You can't say for a fact they're correct yet... though I'm sure at the end of the season, some of you will come back to quote your original prediction - just wonder who it'll be I'm not going to make a prediction, since personally I think whilst you can predict to some extent from previous results, you can't predict how a team will click which I think makes a difference, or any of the random speedway occurences (e.g. injuries, blown equipment that could affect some of the riders at this level, and so on)... so I'm happy to wait and see what happens during the season. I will likely be attending a fair few Eastbourne matches this year, so here's to good racing in (hopefully) some sunshine!

Elite Shield, Poole Pirates V Kings Lynn: Wed 25th March.
rhidassa replied to Poole Quay 7's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Looks like this will be my first speedway meeting this year, here's hoping it's a good one. (And King's Lynn win. ) -
Are you sure you got those in the right order?
-
Are all the teams completed? I never try to predict results before I at least know the sides that are competing...
-
This thread is about a speedway meeting, right? That one that happened last night..... no?
-
For the record, where I was stood last night I was surrounded by Poole fans and not one was happy with the meeting continuing after heat 10. Most people couldn't believe it kept going on.

Always thought the league should be decided by.. the league! Not play-offs. Usually get shot down by people citing the excitement of the play-offs. Which I can see... but if you have a league system, you should win the league, then have a different challenge for the top finishers. Otherwise the league is really more a very long qualifier. Just imagine if the world championship went through all the rounds... then we had the top riders go into a separate meeting to decide the world championship.
