I can’t speak for all the spares vans but I do know he had an account at one where he was told a person would sort his bills, I think then garrity was injured and when he came back the person did a runner from speedway, leaving the bill unpaid to this day, I believe it was around £900

He was hardly alone in this ... CovComp once published a list of riders who had run up a debt with them and showed no likelihood of paying. Possibly one reason why Geoff was so helpful to us was that we (that is, I) always paid up straight away.

Serious question, who is it that you worry about?

Maybe the one who I once saw having hysterics in the pits, throwing a fire bucket around, and shutting himself in the changing room ... because he had been excluded under two minutes ...

I think everyone on here should cast their minds back several years ago to a certain incident involving 3 young riders and what they allegedly did to a young lady.

Who bailed them, who paid monies to certain parties to keep the alleged incident quiet and where are they now?

One is in a wheelchair. One is in disgrace through drugs.

Like someone posted above I am not sure if any team subs / changes late on would have affected the final result.

Certainly it did; Sheffield put in Tai Woffinden as a tac sub which gained a 5-1 to bring the scores closer. (Then he and J Holder were too good in heats 13, 15 and 16).

When was that? Anyway, I doubt that Vaclav Milik can pull up any trees, always seemed a bit of an imposter to me. 3 or 4 more matches should be enough to establish his normal  points contribution. That's when they may have to turn to Riss.

2019. And they could do better than Riss in the Premiership, surely? There are plenty of points available.

It would not be a surprise to me, if Erik Riss joins Brum this season at some stage. What is the most likely way (other than for an injury) this could happen?

Why should they want him? He wasn't very impressive last time he was in the team.

And a few people have completely overrated Oxfords team.

Really? A British Champion at No.2? Lewis Kerr at reserve? Maciej Janowski, Charles Wright, Nicolai Klindt, Chris Harris, Rohan Tungate, Lewis Kerr, Ashton Boughen  ... that is a seriously good team; I was rather worried when I saw that, but the Brummies came back after Oxford actually did better on the wet track to begin with. (The away team did not have any advantage).

In all fairness the track probably evened everything out plus oxford are brand new to the league. I didn't think it would be a thrashing but fair play to the legend himself Scotty Nichollls.

So are Birmingham ... with the team that they had, no way should Oxford have lost this, but with a No.1 who scored, the Brummies should have won instead! Those who forcast 60-30 must be ashamed.

Unfortunately it feels like the beginning of the end before the season has even started . This has the hallmark of Rogers all over it ...

Good grief ... do you think that Rogers went tp Poland and maimed him?

an almost complete absence of a grassroots/amateur system

Which was almost completely destroyed by the BSPA for some reason ... The is a small amount of amateur speedway, but only in a couple of stadiums now, noticably those actually owned by the speedway team.
