    Wolves 2019

Of course! Think before posting next time. Perhaps tautology is what I had in mind.
  2. 847084

    Wolves 2019

Isn't 'pointless tweet' an example of oxymoron?

    Wolves v Somerset 9/7/18

Woffinden’s low average in 2009 played a large contributory factor in winning the play off as did his appearance in place of Kylmakorpi two years ago. Looking at the starting seven in 2018 it was / is difficult to see where the improvement was likely to occur.

    Wolves 2018

If you discount double uppers there are less than 100 separate riders currently in Premiership and Championship teams. Enough for 13 teams. The writing is on the wall, and has been for years.
  5. Late fitness decision on Kyle Howarth, R/R if he doe not ride.
  6. Always thought Eddie Ingells was a good rider who we should have seen more of.

    RIP Ivan Mauger OBE

Terrible news. Absolute legend, an overused word but wholly deserved in his case. RIP

    Wolves 2018

Some might think the word 'for' is superfluous here.
  9. Meeting preview on the Wolves site does not list either team. Draw your own conclusions.
  10. The Wolves site's preview today comments on how many riders have already put equipment in storage as well as those who have departed the UK.
  11. I would agree normally but apparently Wolves have little or no choice in this, it is simply a case of availability.
  12. Confirmed that Schlein and Howarth are both out injured. Tomorrow Wolves line up as follows: Nick Morris Ricky Wells Scott Nicholls RR Sam Masters Mark Riss Nathan Greaves. No decisions yet on Max Fricke or Craig Cook.
  13. And Rory Schlein has withdrawn after a nasty fall. Possibly a broken wrist. To be confirmed.
  14. Presumably Kyle Howarth will be turning out for Sheffield next Wednesday. Very difficult to get anywhere near excited about this meeting.
  15. Disappointing from a subjective point of view but objectively a positive presentation of speedway for a change. A genuine last heat decider. Many congratulations to Swindon for their victory. A word on Chris Harris, he used three bikes last night all to no effect. It happens.
  16. Agreed. However, Rory as third heat leader sounds good: and Wolves seem to build teams top down. I imagine PA has been impressed so far.
  17. One outcome of this rather astonishing Final is that Rory Schlein may well be Wolves captain in 2018.
  18. Chris Harris guests in both legs. Not a euphemism.
  19. No definitive news on Freddie's condition. He is expecting more information on Sunday.
  20. The draw wasn't made, or announced, until August 11. The priority over the last six weeks has been completing the league fixtures. The Cup is of minor importance to everyone, and I imagine its' continuation beyond 2017 will be up for discussion. In other news, Wolves will operate RR for Lindgren with Lasse Bjerre and Scott Nicholls both guesting. Thorsell rides. Reserves to be announced.......
  21. Great idea. We could have both meetings in one. Heat 1 of the play off followed by Heat 1 of the cup. Endless permutations of fun.
  22. They are running this wednesday, in the cup. I think at this stage of the season, getting meetings staged has priority over which team has first and second leg. The week after next is scheduled for both legs of the final.
  23. Some context to this, on Friday Wolves are scheduled to be at Somerset for the 2nd leg of the Cup SF. Lindgren and Thorsell will be at GP practice. Schlein, Greaves, Masters and Riss will be at Edinburgh for the Play off SF. Let's hope Kyle Howarth turns up!
  24. In which case the second leg becomes the first and the second leg on the wednesday?
