Canadian Star 6 Posted July 7, 2005 How about Colin Cook, Howard Cole, Arthur Price, Kelven Mullarkey all great characters, be interesting to know what they have done since retirement. Gary Middleton and Gary Guglielmi are 2 obvious others that come to mind.

He became the head of mathematics at a top Sydney High School, and retired last year. He still has his Wolverhampton accent and regularly attends veteran speedway riders functions in New South Wales. Richard Tyrrell 16 Posted July 8, 2005 Arne Pander - Oxford's first 'Great Dane'. His first meeting as an unknown -v- Coventry, 27th March 1959, 12 paid 14 points from five rides. Was the Danish Champion at a time when many people didn't know speedway even existed in Denmark. 13 points the next night, paid 14, at Poole, and 13 at Oxford -v- Poole the following week. After a couple of weeks in Denmark for a family bereavement he returned with 12 points against Belle Vue. And so on! Where is he now? Regards

Guest cheetahhawk Posted August 4, 2005 As well as Bobby McNeil, would love to see a big articule on Barry Thomas. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I too would like to see an article on Barry Thomas. Would also like to see one on Dave Jessup as he was one of Englands best riders in the seventies. I know he has the spares van at Rye House now so would be easy to get hold of to do an interview.
