npw 8 Posted May 22, 2003 Some of you may know about this website but for those of you who don't www.britishpathe.com is well worth a look. Put speedway into their search engine & some interesting historical clips can be downloaded for free. See England v Australia test matches from the 1930's, see Bill Kitchen on a rocket bike, see the last meeting at Custom House, see Hackney pre-season training 1968, see World Finals from the 1960's, Rye House in the 1940's, White City training, Belle Vue 1942.........you get the idea. The site is a bit tiresome in that you have to "buy" free clips & go through endless screens to get to your download but the end result is worth waiting for. Pathe made films up to about 1970 & have over 100 years of history on film. Search their site for more than just speedway, it's extensive. Norbold, you are going to love this! Grachan 7,359 Posted May 22, 2003 Yeah, I found this in the past. There's some good stuff - my favourite being the marvellous charisma of 'Tony Croomes - Speedway rider'. Have you managed to download the White City one? I've tried a few times but just seem to get a blank .HTML page.
