INTERNATIONAL YOUNG GUNS THIS WEDNESDAY

King’s Lynn Speedway has announced a last minute fixture for this Wednesday evening, the club had previously called off their premier league match against Edinburgh because of the World Cup semi final but have now decided to run an International Young guns meeting that will feature an awesome display of young talent including Mark Jones (the young brother of Ashley Jones), Lewis Bridger, Cameroon Woodward, Chris Mills, John Oliver, Trevor Harding, James Brundle, John Oliver, Darren Mallett, Ben Powell, Mark Thompson and Shane Waldron amongst lots of others ‘this meeting looks to be a real cracker, our fans will love seeing Mark Jones in competitive action for the first time, especially up against such tough opposition, if he can cut the mustard against that lot then there’s no doubt he will put himself in the picture for a team spot at King’s Lynn in the future!’ said stars co-promoter, Jonathan Chapman.

Lewis Bridger will be another sure fire hit with the fan’s after proving his capabilities in the Elite league this year, he also put on an amazing display at King’s Lynn in the British Under 21 Final earlier in the year, racing on lines that had only been seen a decade before when Mark Loram was in the team. Then there’s his Eastbourne team mate, Cameroon Woodward, another fine young Australian. Current Stars team members, Chris Mills, Trevor Harding and John Oliver will clearly be trying to show him their capabilities, having a home track advantage.

Other young riders include American, Tom Brown, who is known to the King’s Lynn public as Buffalo Bill after his second half races at King’s Lynn a few weeks ago, he’s a keen young rider who clearly has no fear and looked incredibly fast even though his style wasn’t that comfortable! Another young face who will be keen to prove his worth is Shane Waldron, the Stars’s own no 8 who is currently riding full time with Plymouth, and finally another rider who is worth a mention is James Brundle, the 19 year old is currently plying his trade at Mildenhall but still belongs to King’s Lynn, there’s no doubt he could be another winner on the day.

Parade time will be at 7:30pm, there will be 20 qualifying races and a Grand Final for the 4 top scorers, admission prices will be as normal Adults £11, Concessions £8, Juniors £4, Kids 11 and under Free, plus you will receive a FREE race card, so there’s no need to buy a programme this week. Gold privilege card holders along with silver and bronze ones too will not get free entry but will be entitled to a special £2 discount off of admission.
