Don't think you necessarily need 'big' names to produce good speedway

Didn't say that, just pointed out that the field is nowhere near as good as last year. ;)

Exactly Semion and whatever Jock and the other KL Apologists say cannot hide this.

Last seasons line up included Louis, Jansson, Howe, Moore, Bager, Watt, Kramer, Harris, Boyce, Janirro, Zagar etc.

Sorry but this year is nowhere near

Enjoy

May be a cutback for all the big scores lynn have to keep paying out.:lol:

the one thing most people forget, spot on Bagpuss

Must just be me but for entertainment value it looks like a decent field. Okay you don't have any big 'Elite' names but do you really want them? Isn't it better to watch a close contest plus two of the hotest young prospects in for the future of British Speedway than someone wanting big money to come and do a few laps?

It was announced over the PA that Wethers has withdrawn with a shoulder injury and Lee has replaced him

Great to see Paul Lee back on track. I hope he has all the luck in the world. He has earnt it.

A good enough line-up as you have some real fighters in there together with the acknowleged top dogs. As has been said before the top names do not make a top show but lesser lights always aim high on these occasions.

Nearly all elite teams are racing next Wednesday, 8 of them anyhow including Eastbourne away at Arena Essex so I'm guessing that will be Lewis Bridger out which is a big disappointment really. Have we got a revised line up as yet?

Tai Woffiden - Using the POTE now to tout potential new riders??

This meeting seems a far cry quality wise from years gone by

Yeah and charging an extra £2 just to watch the normal KL seven pit their wits against 9 other mostly PL riders!!! No different to watching a normal league meeting in my eyes. Must be an extra couple of quid to pay for the fireworks at the end.

As has been said above, this meeting used to be a very prestigious occasion. Shame.

As has been said above, this meeting used to be a very prestigious occasion.

But we see them on tv every week, things have changed ;)

Why not give all our riders, our potential riders ;) and the others in the line up the chance to earn a pound or two extra rather than those top boys who get the lion's share of open meeting berths?

It'll be entertaining, must admit I was looking forward to the Holder v Bridger races but there's still plenty more duals between the riders in it that I'm looking forward to seeing hehehe :approve:
