Well done Davey Watt

There was a rumour floating around that he may have broken a bone in his hand. :( Let's hope it proves to be just that ~ a rumour! We can't afford to lose Tomas now at this crucial point of the season. :o

Wots the news on the skipper ?

Gone to hospital to have his left hand checked out. Got a knock around the little finger knuckle. He was wiggling his fingers though quite freely so hopefully nothing is broken. Nasty looking lump though.

Well deserved victory for Davey, and great to have two KL riders following him home. :approve:

Glad the end result turned out as it did and Calamity Jane didn't make it onto the rostrum.

Also congrats to John Oliver for picking up the Rider of the Year award, very well deserved. :approve:

Better meeting than some had predicted proving the point that you dont need 'names' to provide entertainment although better track conditions may have helped more with yet again an overly slick track not really providing too many racing lines (was there no one to drive the water truck tonight?)

Hope Tom is OK although the signs dont look too good at present

Well yes it was pretty entertaining although I had my hands over my eyes at times and heart in my mouth after moves from a rider or two. I dooooooooo hope Tomas will be ok, it would be terrible if he now missed out on THE most important matches of the season through an injury in this meeting, which really, like the Boro challenge, should be after all our cup and league matches imo!

All the riders were well up for the POULTEC challenge, which was great from a fan's point of view, no going through the motions tonight for sure!! Davy Watt certainly deserved his win in the final (although Tomas may have given him a run for his money had he not been injured :( ) closely followed by Dan the Man, with Troy and Chris having their own personal dual for 3rd with Troy coming out on top again as he did in the ultra entertaining heat 14 when a dead heat would have been the fairer result!

I was particularly keeping an eye on the performances of Paul Lee and Mark Jones. Paul scored a credible 8 points including two wins, in heat 18 he was having a good race against a chasing Kev Doolan when Kev's chain came off I think.

I certainly feel that Mark has got loads more to give, his 3 points don't tell the whole story tonight and I sincerely hope he gets his team place next season! He'd win the most controlled wheelie of the night comp without a doubt!

The fireworks were FANTASTIC!

well done to all all the riders concerned.

unfortunately as confirmed by trotter tomas has broken a bone in his hand and sees the specialist today who he hopes will realign his knuckle and finger and then a visit to brian simpson.

Gutted for TT, just hope Mr Simpson can work his miracles and have TT back on his bike real soon. I know getting a guest is no probs but it's TT I feel for the most here.

Can just picture the Rye House Mafia rubbing their hands with glee at this news.

Still it was bound to happen at some stage imo, pity the POTE had to be run before the important stuff. Perhaps light will dawn on our promotion at some point as to what takes priority in the future.

Considering the play-offs are scheduled for the very end of October, I don't see what choice the promotion had. Either stage it before the POs or not at all.

One of the better individual meets I've seen in a while. Can see Calamity Jane being back at the NA a few more times this year..

Not at all then preferably. :P

Well now he's had a taster of the KL fence, hopefully it'll calm him down a tad.

Maybe he should ask Dan the Man for lessons in passing on the outside cleanly. :D

How was the track this week, any better than last ? Were the home riders all content with it.

Slick and dry again. Can't recall them watering the track once. Perhaps they knew something I didn't...

Topinka, Mills, Batchelor (once he got going) had little problems with the track. Whether they were happy or not, I don't know.

Nermark didn't look as fast as normal. Oliver it's hard to tell given the tough company. Doolan rarely does well in individuals and hasn't been that hot at KL lately either, while Harding was somewhat as you'd expect. Had moments but not the quickest rider out there.

If the track is same in a couple of weeks, Rye will have a field day!

Tommy Allen was a keen visitor I noticed...

Millsy's thoughts too. But apparently the promoter/team's opinions of what is needed seems to differ somewhat.

I absolutely sincerely hope that the management do their level best by the team re the track, every team needs their home track advantage/knowledge ........... communication between the team and track man is VITAL now Huggy has gone  Such a bleeding shame this has all had to happen this season, at this point in the season, our best ever, damned bull skulled males!!!! BUT, with a bit of give and take, the team can't be thwarted now ................. COME ON!!!!!!!
