Rempala takes a bit of working out ,he's single handledly killed the bandits this season.then he goes and nearly wins the plrc!

Twaddle.

How on earth has the great man "single handedly" killed the Bandits?

Already congratulated James on another thread, but what hell Well Done again James. Must admit I had nail my colours to another young man Aussie Chris Holder, and it nice to see that for once us Brits got the better of the Aussie's.

I would urge the Comet fans to enjoy James while they can as the boy looks cetain to move on to greater things, and move up to the Elite League, but remember that the guy did it in Comet colours and won for you just as much himself.

Have to say that I am bitterly disappointed with our man Andre, did not do himself justice in this meeting, like another Sheffield supporter said you have to question his comitment to this kind of event.

As for the rest where did that performance from Rempla come from, honestly at Sheffield this season he looked like a complete novice, Jason Lyons looked as though he was sharp, and did Jason King not make the meeting at all.

Heat Results

Heat 01: Wright, Holder, Woffinden, Rempala Time:67.08

Woffinden passed Rempala on the second bend. Holder was close to Wright all race but couldn't get past.

Heat 02: Lyons, Nermark, Topinka, Compton Time:66.52

Sponsored by Steve Dixon http://community.webshots.com/user/steavyd

From the gate - well spaced out at the end.

Heat 03: Laukkanen, Rajkowski, Kerr, Kramer Time:66.93

Sponsored by Boxer123 Stamps Brought and Sold

Laukkanen won by nearly a quarter of a lap! Kramer passed Kerr on the back straight of the last lap but locked up on the fourth bend and was re-passed.

Heat 04: Schramm, Franc, Complin, Leverington Time:68.15

Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway http://www.foes.info/

Franc passed Leverington going into lap two on the inside. Complin did the same round the outside entering lap three.

The track is now being regraded.

Heat 05: Topinka, Rajkowski, Rempala, Leverington Time:67.21

Sponsored by Richard and Anne Hollingsworth www.scunthorpespeedway.com

Topinka was last out of the gate but first into the back straight! Rempala passed Leverington on the third bend of the first lap.

Heat 06: Lyons, Laukkanen, Woffinden, Schramm Time:66.86

Laukkanen rounded Woffinden on the second bend. Lyons is looking rather good!

Heat 07: Holder, Nermark, Franc, Kerr Time:66.96

Holder rounded Nermark on the second bend. Kerr was all over Franc but couldn't find a way past. The outside line on the third and fourth bends seems tricky.

Heat 08: (Rerun) Wright, Complin, Kramer, Compton Time:67.71

Complin went into the fence on the second bend. All four back in the rerun. Rerun: Wright cut under Complin on the second bend of lap two. Compton is as bad as Lyons is good!

Leaders after two ride each: Lyons 6, Wright 6, Holder 5, Laukkanen 5, Topinka 4, Nermark 4, Rajkowski 4,

Heat 09: (Rerun) Rempala, Lyons, Complin Ex, Kerr Ex Time: 68.65

The race will be rerun without Complin and Kerr who have been excluded. Complin fell on the third lap trying to pass Rempala. Kerr retired on the first lap and is excluded for not being under power when the race was stopped. Rerun: A comfortable win for Rempala (How weird!).

Heat 10: Woffinden, Topinka, Franc, Kramer Time:67.43

Sponsored by KanDysoft Speedway spreadsheets www.kandysoft.com

Topinka gated but went too wide on the second bend and Woffinden was through winning with a fair bit to spare.

Heat 11: Holder, Schramm, Compton, Rajkowski Time:68.05

Sponsored by Peter Hopkins www.myspace.com/peterhopkins

Holder looking class. Compton passed Rajkowski on the back straight of lap one.

Heat 12: Nermark, Wright, Leverington, Laukkanen ef Time:67.99

Easy for the super Swede says Bagpuss. Laukkanen unlucky to pack up entering lap three whilst second.

Heat 14: Kerr, Compton, Woffinden, Leverington Time:68.65

Sponsored by www.digitalmint.co.uk

Easily the race of the night thus far. Compton led with Kerr all over him and Woffinden up their exhaust pipes. Kerr got past on the last lap - great stuff!

Sponsored by www.msj.edu.pl www.msjspeedway.com

From the gate.

Heat 16: Wright, Lyons, Franc, Rajkowski Time:67.95

Heat 17: (Rerun) Rempala, Franc, Compton, Laukkanen Ex Time:68.83

Laukkanen touched the tapes and is excluded. The rerun will be with three riders only. Rerun: Another great race with all three races passing and re-passing throughout.

From the gate although Woffinden pressured Complin throughout.

Heat 19: Lyons, Holder, Kramer, Leverington Time:67.83

A comfortable win for Lyons.Kramer passed Leverington entering lap 3

Heat 20: Wright, Kerr, Topinka, Schramm Time:68.24

A good battle between Kerr and Topinka for a couple of laps.

Wright and Lyons are through to the final; the semi-final will be between Rempala, Topinka, Nermark and Holder.

Semi-Final line up: Jacek Rempala, Tomas Topinka, Daniel Nermark, Chris Holder

Dominant first bend by Nermark. Topinka passed Holder on the third bend of lap 1.

The riders get to choose gates in the final in order of their qualifying scores.

Grand Final line up: Jacek Rempala, Daniel Nermark, James Wright, Jason Lyons

Grand Final: Wright, Lyons, Rempala, Nermark Time:66.27

Comments:

Line-up: has been confirmed as above.

Referee: A Steele

Weather: Fine with no threat of rain.

Format: Standard 20 heats with top 2 scorers seeded directly to the final. The semi-final will consist of the riders finishing third - sixth with first and second going through to the final.

Track: Looks normal for Swindon - fairly grippy.

One of the riders is stuck on the M4 in traffic. No name announced though - details to follow if he doesn't make it in time! The mystery rider stuck on the M4 has been revealed as Jason King. Discussions are currently taking place in the pits about what to do!! Jason King is still on the way to the track. Schramm will stand in until he arrives but it's not clear if Schramm can qualify for the semi-final or final if he scores enough points.

Yes and BobC and friends from Poole as well. Total nightmare.

A real nightmare. From what we could gather from GWR Swindon radio, there had been a very bad smash. They wouldnt go into detail, but did say the Air Ambulance was required.

We were 2.5 miles from the junction, and stopped at around 3.40,and didnt move again until just after 8pm.

We may have not have arrived at our destination, but thankfully we have made it home again.

I fear, but cannot confirm, that others may not arrive home at all.

My thoughts are with them.

Unfortunately it seems a baby girl was killed in the accident.

Really really sad.

James Wright was very much a deserving winner. He was sharp out of the gate at times, rode some superb first and second bends in others and when that did fail he picked off riders!

Jacek Rempala is wonderfully weird and I love him, no idea why!! :D

Chris Holder looked ok, nothing special TBH and seemed to make a couple of mistakes, not something you'd expect from the highest averaged rider in the meeting!

Jason Lyons proved he's a class act at this level as did Nermark and Topinka was not bad either.

We were stopped at the services for an hour or so, set off again at 1500 were 1.5 miles from the turn off. Five hours plus not moving & a 12 hour round trip, but a few hundred yards up the road was a real tradgedy, all things are relative.

We met a number of Islanders fans on the Ferry who were in the same Jam plus there was the coach as well.

Well done to James Wright. Chris has a few medals already this year & no doubt

many more in the future.

Not a bad meeting tonight although it was fairly apparent that most of the field had not ridden the track before.

Wrighty a worthy winner, however I can't help thinking that any of the finalists could have won if they had been able to choose gate three
