iris123 20,935 Posted October 1, 2007 (edited) What is this meeting? How were the riders selected? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is what it says, the European Individual Championship! A championship for the second tier of European Riders.Generally those not likely to have much to do with the GPs. Not really 100% sure how riders are selected. But i would say, some federations have only a few riders anyway, who are likely to be competetive.Other...i think you have to be in the top 8 in the German Final to be considered. And somewhere outside the top riders(top 5?),but still qualified for the Danish Final for Denmark. So maybe 6-12ish in the Danish Final(though as i say not going to look to find out ) And don't forget that some riders who could enter don't bother! The qualis, semis, final Edited October 1, 2007 by iris123
MARK246 243 Posted October 1, 2007 What is this meeting? How were the riders selected? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The riders are selected by their federations to go to 3 qualification rounds, Stralsund , Lvov, Togliatti. From each of these 10 riders +2 reserves go to 3 semi finals. Brijham, Kerskro, Gorican, 18 seeded riders are also in the semis. From the semi final 5 riders +1 reserve go to the final joined by one seeded rider from the host nation. This competition is run by the UEM, which is seperate from the FIM and is European not world wide.
