Is there anyone in Oz ....

I am travelling to Brisbane next month, and wonder if there is any Speedway in the surrounding area between 20 September and 5 October ?

 

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Nick I can't find any details of what meetings are on but post a message on the yahoo Australian speedway groups board http://groups.yahoo.com/group/australianmo...rcyclespeedway/ and ask the question. You may have to register first but its free and only takes a minute.

 

There are five or six locals who regularly contribute to that board who are either involved with or attend the Labrador speedway which is on the Gold Coast about 45 minutes south of Brisbane. I never been there but it's a nice little set up I believe. They had their first meeting of the new season there last week and from what I read it was well received. I think they run once a month.

 

If you have problems drop me an email via the email addy on here and I'll post the question for you.

Some more info from a bit of surfing.

 

The track at Labrador is called "Mike Hatcher Park" and looks like there is a Junior championship on about the time you are here http://home.austarnet.com.au/dirttracker/c.../calanderdt.htm . It's always wise to confirm these things though !!

Looks like you got lucky !! I saw a response that there is a meeting at Archerfield (Brisbane) when you are here. The guy who posted the response is also involved with the Gold Coast so you could ask him about there too while you are at it if you want.
