awful choice of track, never gonna do anything as a country in world cups until we make the big meetings on the biggest tracks.

 

Australia - big tracks, Poland - big tracks, Sweden - big tracks almost every country in the world has "big" tracks. Riders learn more at smaller tracks as they are more techincal and unique.

 

Anyway rant over, the track for the EL Pairs is not going to make a difference to the WC.

so why do GB get embarrassed every year?

Because our youth system over the last 10 years has been an absolute joke. Most of the countries mentioned above have 80cc leagues/meetings in place. Plus kids growing up in denmark, australia and poland have much better access to equipment and track time. And its cheaper for them than someone starting out over here.

 

Any speedway authority that turns down the help of Erik Gundersen should be taken out back shot. His continuous help and teaching towards Emil Sajfutdinov over the last 3 years in Russia is testament to the great mans teaching skills. GB is very very close to being relagated to the 6th speedway nation in the world.
