D-day For Birmingham

Recommended Posts

Well I am on my way to work now and my expectation is that when I get back I will find that we have lost the Brummies. I would just like to say thanks to everyone that has supported us in trying to keep the Brummies. I doubt very much that I will be going elsewhere for my speedway fix and so my next post will very probably be my last one on this forum. Have to wake the kids in a mo and try to distract them from what is happening today. My youngest cried himself to sleep last night holding my hand.

Great stadium and tremendous fans - with a fair racing track that produces good racing. PLEASE let the Brummies stay alive!

Best wishes for today.

I think you'll be fine, I just hope Dury puts a cack side together next year though. You were a little to close for my liking this season

Good luck to all involved

Graham said today that a new silencer will be enforeced at Perry Barr next season which reduces decibel levels by 10-to 15 decibels.

As I understand it, the engines need to be tuned differently to work with these silencers. So it wouldn't be as simple as swapping over on the night.

I wonder if it's just smoke and mirrors from Drury. After all, how many councillors would actually recognise one silencer from another?

Say the right things, get the permission then put up the acoustic wall. Job done.

Guitar Art - Now I know I am a soppy begger but your last post brought a tear to my eye...it was the bit about your son that did it.

Will try and post the result as soon as, if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Just hoping it's the right one

A day of great importance for us all at Birmingham. Many thanks to everybody, from all parts of the UK and around the world, for your great support in our time of need! We feel somewhat helpless as the last few minutes tick by as the PA decision is now completely out of our hands and we can only hope that we will be given the chance to keep the Brummies going and be able to see you all in 2010, 2011,.........etc.

Best of luck. The brummies have been a breat of fresh air since they were re0introduced a few years back.

Last year they suffered terrible luck with injuries, hopefully that luck will be balanced out today with some good news.

I shall keep my fingers crossed for you all
