British Final And Semi Finals

Recommended Posts

very tasty looking line-up.

Tai and Nicholls should get through with ease, and then it could come down to who wants it the most. i fancy Ashworth and Auty to be up there from the Sheff riders, should be a great night of speedway :)

The draw:

6 Andrew Tully

7 Jordan Frampton

8 Andre Compton

9 William Lawson

10 Ben Barker

11 Tai Woffinden

12 Stuart Robson

13 Oliver Allen

14 Richard Hall

15 Ricky Ashworth

16 David Howe

Reserves:

Josh Auty

On last night's showing it will take a hell of a rider to lower David Howe's colours. :approve:

Nicholls was pants at Sheffield last year when he rode in the Ben Fund meeting and doesn't Auty need somebody to get injured before he stands a chance of going through? In which case I hope he isn't in the meeting.

From the Sheffield leg you would have to hope that the home riders (incl. Compton) would be up there, but when there are 8 full time elite league riders in the line up, plus the likes of Howe and Bunyan, things could get interesting. Looking at the line up, I don't think there is a rider who you would automatically discount from going through in this leg (granted there are a few that you would expect to be more going for 8th spot than 1st)

I agree that it should be a great night of speedway and I'm looking forward to it already!

Howe will walk into the top 8 at Sheffield.

David was good enough to post on the Scunthorpe v. Birmingham thread and said that he was on the mend and looks like he will not miss any meetings.

Hmm......the best two teams in the EL meet at Wimborne Road and the British rider who is the star of the show and scores paid 9, isn't in any of the list of British semis.

I wonder if he requested not to ride?

He rode (Robert Mear) after the U21 qualifier at Mildenhall tonight.

That should stand him in good stead for Sheffield. Very similar tracks.
