Seems we've been hearing talk of Ty Nelson for ages.......Rob Godfrey during the out of season, then Mr. Machin of Sheffield recently, we've watched him go round the track at Scunny.......yes the lad is good but what a shock to get to our meeting today to find him riding for Rye house.....I agree with Albert yet another Aussie taking a team place in OUR NDL and a disgrace to see him ride as reserve.......makes my blood boil!

Shame on you Mr Silver..Everyone that has seen this lad (Ty Nelson) ride knows what standard of rider he is..he's an aussie and far too good to be messing around in the British Development League...and at reserve too. So another young brit likely to find himself on the sidelines whilst you give this kid chance to shine at a level well below his ability. I've always supported the National League and love to see young british kids progress up the speedway ladder...I now fear for the credibility of this league.

When Scunny complain to the authorities, TN points will be deducted resulting in a 4 point win for Scunthorpe – simple.

Try looking in the SCB 2010 rulebook. Page 38 about halfway down. Prefer the term National League personally.

Although it was nice to see Tyson Nelson in the flesh (advance notices from the Sheffield forum members seems justified) WTF is he doing at number SEVEN for A National League team !?!?!?!?

Firstly why is Ty racing for the Cobras illegal? There's no proof he hasn't got a youth mobility visa, I'm sure he wouldn't have been allowed to race if he had not got one, he was just waiting for his opportunity.

 

Secondly, he is on a 6 point assesed average, replacing David Mason, this means Ben Morley (6.21) has to move out of the resrve berth. The fact that he replaces David Mason also puts paid to the 'replacing a young brit' stuff, if he was I'd be unhappy, what I'm concerned abou now is we may well be developing a young rider for a Premier League rival.

 

I've just got in from this fantastic meeting, which outshone the first by a mile, Ty aside, Shane Hazelden was brilliant for Rye, whilst until his unfortunate crash, Marc owen looked very good too, I hope he is ok as it looked pretty alarming.

Apart from a couple of links in posts on the BSF, do you have any idea of how to access the Rule Book? Its not on the BSPA Website.

Somehow I doubt you'd be quite so bothered about it if he'd been riding at reserve for the Saints.....!!! :blink

Absolute Twaddle!...Perhaps wouldn't mind him in the Scorpions team...but definately not the Saints. We believe in our young british kids and take much pride in watching them develope.

Absolute rubbish! don't be so childish. If he was british and on an average of about 9 or as Albert said in the PL, BUT not in the NL, at reserve and getting 7 rides. Rye house have nothing to be proud of in beating the Scunny youngsters ( without buzz ) so you cannot throw that at us. You are mistaken by thinking I'm jealous.I AM NOT!......Just want to see our own kids getting the help they should get. I really wish promoters would all sing from the same hymn book!

What a load of crap,fact is he wasnt at Reserve for the saints,and the way scunny build teams,even if the lad was in,he would be heat leader,not reserve

 

I seem scuny were riding under protest and i think Jaynes posts further back on this thread about the holiday type visa is correct

 

One other thing about Aussie lads in the league is how the hell do they go in the PL on a 5 yet NL on a 6

 

If a brit had an average of 5 in the Pl wouldnt he come in the NL on a 10?

This episode just shows another reason why we should scrap the "development" name in the NDL as this is clearly a third tier with a win at all costs mentality from some promoters and before someone says it, yes I know Mildenhall used Dakota North and then, when he was injured Taylor Poole but but it does not make it right.

 

I wish it wasnt, and I wish British Lads come first but some hope

We never used to have Germans, Danes, Swedes, Poles etc in Division Two, todays PL.Look at it now. Very few Brits and I fear the rebranded CL now the NL could well go the same way. Is the a development league at all now?

Montie is spot on, i have no problem with these young Australian lads coming into the British league, but give them a cma that is right,now if the lad is on a 6 point assesed average like two faced RocketBen says, can anybody see him going into the PL on a 12 point cma, no way, it seems their is one rule for British lads and another for non British lads, it stinks to me, and who ever is running this should be very proud to see the way he is ruining the sport, he is a disgrace.
