The Bspa Announcment On Monday

Recommended Posts

It was announced on BBC local news at 5pm last Thursday, after local radio phoned Rugby for a response to the Bees statement. The BSPA refused to comment (no change there then) but they would be issuing a statement within the next 12 hours. This is the organisation that hasn't seen fit to tell speedway supporters officially the rules for next year despite the AGM being 2 months ago. That didn't even acknowledge that there was going to be an EGM last Wednesaday.Upto now they have been accountable to no one, preferring to do secretive deals behind closed doors. That might be about to change.I believe it is today that the Bees/Peterborough go to court to seek an injunction. If and I repeat if,they are successful then the BSPA will be from now, accountable to a court of law.

You have to laugh that the Duchess of Sherbourne has had to resort to begging Bees fans to try and persuade Sandhu to drop the court action.Maybe it is beginning to sink in,that maybe just maybe the BSPA might lose, and the Bees will be vindicated.

Perhaps you should be going down to the local Poole chippy and asking 'Elvis' if he hasn't allowed his personal bitternes over the play-off humiliation to seriously cloud his judgement.

We know Monckton Chambers are representing the Bees/P'boro,perhaps it will be the legal experts from this forum, who will be representing the BSPA,afterall they seem to 'know' that the BSPA case is watertight.

Hahaha!! Try to deflect all you want but your management must now go down in the anals of speedway (spelt correctly) as the worst ever promotion in the history of the sport. I would take Horton over Trump and Sandhu and day of the week. At least he had the excuse of running out of money.

Why on earth would the BSPA say anything? Its not them that made this mess. You need to look a lot closer to home. Why should the BSPA say a word when it could possibly used against them in a court of law. Anyone with an ounce of sense keeps their trap shut if they are being sued. The lawyers representing the BSPA would have absolutely told them to stay quiet, and rightly so. Would you be happy if the BSPA released a statement saying, " we have been advised by our lawyers to say nothing at this time". Would that appease you?

I am a speedway fan and would like both Coventry and Peterborough to take their place in the league. Ten teams is better than eight. However, it seems both Coventry and Peterborrough fans seem lethargic to do anything to save their club. Like Houdi here, they would rather throw insults at the BSPA and other forum members on here than get off their backsides and tell their so called promotion what they think of them and the ridiculous position they have put their club in.

The actions of these two renegade clubs has been disgraceful thrughout the whole episode. Nasty, vidictive comments tagged onto the end of their press releases, and "our way or no way" to the rest of the league.

Of course IMO any injunction will fail in the long run and the league will continue in March with the 8 teams who signed up to the democratically voted in rules. The only down side is there is no way back for either promotion after all this has finished. Such a shame for Coventry fans that Sandhu owns the stadium as it really will be the end. At least Frost as a promoter can be replaced and a new promotion can take over the reigns and Panthers fans can have some form of speedway in one of the leagues in years to come.

So basically what you are saying is that the statement released by Peterbnorough/Coventry is true & accurate because If it wasn't surely the BSPA would refute any claims they thought were inaccurate/not true

Are these the same democratic rules that now say ALL 8 teams must agree to let peterborough/Coventry back into the league when a 5/4 split would bring in rule changes in November
