From the wolves website, 'We're still without Tai Woffinden and will be for a while longer yet because he's actually broken his shoulder and not the collarbone which means his injury is worse than first feared. Robins are once again without skipper Simon Stead with his ongoing rib injury.'

If they're fit in time for the finals would they get wild cards into the final?

Would have thought Woffinden will be riding tomorrow, looking fast practicing after Sheffield meeting tonight although holding his shoulder after every 4 laps he did

Semi-Final at Scunthorpe called off because of rain prior to a wheel being turned.

Semi-Final at Scunthorpe called off because of rain prior to a wheel being turned.

Rain started at 7.25 pm, typical ! The crowd huddled under the limited shelter very patiently while the officials waited to see if/when the rain would stop. The EWR holds up very well in the wet, but tonight the rain was just too persistent.

Forgot to mention announced that re-run is next Friday (20th May).

WHAT????!!!, so what with Newcastle and their contamination, now this...Ipswich's Northern tour is in tatters it seems!!

Does this mean that Workington won't have Richard Lawson at Plymouth either? That's a blow!

I'm pretty sure that they aren't allowed to pull out of the re-staging to ride for their club if they signed in for the meeting tonight- if they could then I think those with a clash would prefer to race for their own clubs that night!

If that's true why wasn't this in the fixture list as a possible rain-off date - or has someone just stuck a pin in the calendar and said we'll hold it on that date instead - to ditch a Premier league fixture at such short notice when it is part of a planned tour shows exactly what the BSPA think of us fans! It doesn't matter when they chose for the re-stage, people would still moan.

Say they left next Friday as it is, which is a boiling hot day with no rain, and stuck the Semi in at a later date. It gets rained off again. The British Final comes looming. Fans go mad that next Friday wasn't used.

Options:

Postpone the British Final from the date it was advertised as.

Move the Semi, that was advertised as being at Scunthorpe, to another track.

Try to run next Friday to ensure the best chance at getting a lineup for the British Final.

Wait over a week to try running the Semi and risk running out of time due to the wonderful British weather.

Run it on a completely random day of the week in front of 6 blokes and a dog.

They've chosen the best option, but whichever option they went with it would cause moaning from somebody.

Carry on :)
