Knowing they were not seriously hurt hopefully allows me to get away with this:

So that is why the M6 was at a standstill earlier!!!! wink.gif

Seriously, never nice whatever the injuries. Speedy recovery to both Johny and Phil. x

HAve just spoken to Johnny my brother. He is a bit down being such a long way from home and obviously in some discomfort. He was in the outside lane doing 70 mph when the car in front braked very hard, Johnny braked and slowed right down and then somebody hit him from behind at 70mph, which pushed him into the car in front. So technically poor Johnny was the meat in the sandwich!! Have seen pictures of his van which is written off. Looking at the picture he was very lucky to escape with a broken hand. His fingers were dislocated and had to be put back in place, which couldn't have been very nice. He then had an xray and has 2 or 3 broken bones in his hand. He is having an operation to pin the hand tomorrow. Phil and whats left of the van have been towed back to Felixstowe. Phil has some bruising to his elbow but is otherwise OK. Nick is hopefully going up to Crewe Hospital tomorrow to pick him up.

Hope Jaybea's busted mitt gets sorted this morning and glad he and Phil escaped relatively unscathed from an accident that could have turned out much worse by the sounds of it.
