On Wednesday night at the monthly save the stadium meeting the prospective new owners were in attendence.

 

Martin Margott and Ian Anderson are Essex based businessmen who are very close to agreeing a deal to buy the stadium.

 

Speedway will be running hopefully by 2005, the track will be FIM standard 300 metres long.

 

I will post more information when I find out the details.

It seems like an age since the meeting at the Oxford Suite when Tony Mole announced he'd been forced to pull out. I remember going down to the stadium at the end of the evening for one last look at it. :cry::cry:

Speedway need tracks like Long Eaton, whether you go CL or PL, lets

 

hope racing can resume. Keep us advised.

I read the press release and things do look promising - a bit of an inconvienience about the car park though :!:
