Wasn't at home to take advantage of this link, although some heats left still, but many thanks and much appreciated.

Best of all one does not have to sign into Facebook to view the page. Not all of us on the planet are nor wish to be a member of Facebook.

Thanks again.

It will be good to see the US back in the SWC proper. Doubt they will get to the semi final but you never know.

Not sure if you were just giving the link having found it or actually involved in it's operation, but many thanks.

Seeing as he is 'only' 41 years of age i wonder which UK Elite League side is likely to be the first to approach Billy Hamill for a return to these shores? I appreciate there was a 'lesser' quality of riders that took part in today's meeting in comparison to main international events but he's got to be light years ahead of the typical Polish riders that Belle Vue sign. They have the uncanny knack of finding the only people in Poland (includes the general populace including Grannies etc.) not capable of scoring in speedway lol.

Billy's not planning a return. He wanted to motivate the younger USA riders to represent their country. Well in todays WTC the whole Team rode very well. Its great to see USA advance to the next round.

USA have certainly got the toughest of the two "semi-finals":

Poland v Denmark v Russia v USA (Bydgoszcz July 7) - they need to finish at least 3rd to make the race-off, and Russia are no pushover these days

The other semi is:

Great Britain v Australia v Czech Republic v Germany (King's Lynn July 9)

Here are the official results from yesterday's meeting In Ljubljana. There were some mistakes on the live updates site, for which we apologize. There were many tactical substitutions and also some unclear decisions from the referee, which made it hard to follow the meeting.

It was quite an entertaining meeting, with the biggest crowd we've had in Ljubljana in the last 5+ years. US team was a deserved winner with all 4 riders scoring throughout the meeting. The home team was trying its best, using substitions and a joker, but they just weren't good enough. For the third year in a row, Slovenia misses the World Cup by 5 or less points.

Someone said Ricky would be the weakest link in the USA team - well, if that's weak, I'll take that every meeting!

Tomaz, thank you so much for making the whole USA team feel so welcome. We all had an amazing time and the result was just perfect. I'm sorry your guys weren't top of the podium, but I did say 2nd spot would suit you! LOL

The team spirit int he USA camp was wonderful and it was fantastic having fellow USA followers join our happy band in the stand.

Boy we made some noise between us all! Great atmosphere which I hope we can take to Poland
