Sheffield Vs Berwick 30/8/12

Recommended Posts

Quick question,or clarification of the rules;

Alden is not injured or riding in a FIM meeting, should Berwick be allowed a facility.

I thought in cases like this teams were only allow to cover with a National League Guest.

Swedish Playoffs, so a facility is allowed.

Did Magnus Zetterstrom not get a ban for riding in Polish play-offs instead of Somerset a few seasons ago ? Cant keep track of what stunts foreign riders are allowed to get away with . We've got Filip Sitera missing our meeting at Redcar tomorrow because he's riding in the Czech Republic , but he's hot footing it back in time to guest for Edinburgh on Friday night . You couldn't make it up

ACU/BSPA and SVEMO have a written agreement over certain events which precede others. All in all, their history is of a good relationship.

Poles make and break their rules to suit themselves.

Hope the weather is better there than here in scunny as it is slinging it down for a change.

Still raining at Sheffield, but the forecast is good showers till 1.00pm, and then the rain stops and sun shine from 6.00 pm onwards.

Generally they reckon providing the rain stops by dinnertime the track will be okay.

Been dry all afternoon, very windy at the moment so may need a bit of water to dampen the surface down.

Update from Sheffield website as follows:

SHEFFIELD Speedway are keen to stress tonight’s Premier League clash with Berwick goes ahead as scheduled (7.45pm).

Yesterday’s inclement conditions have caused no problems with track preparation, and further showers cleared by late morning today giving way to a dry afternoon.

Indeed, the effect of the weather today so far has been to help create track conditions in line with the recent fixture against Leicester which saw some of the fastest times of the season recorded.

One man who starred on that occasion was Lasse Bjerre, who scored a maximum, and the exciting Danish youngster has been booked to guest by tonight’s visitors.

Sheffield are boosted by having No.1 Pepe Franc back from injury, whilst reserve Chris Schramm continues in the team after accepting an offer of machinery from ex-Tiger Chris Mills, following recent expensive blow-ups.

Weather has been OK since that update so should be on

Yeh, cos fast times makes for exciting speedway

The Leicester meeting was a joke and should not be used to advertise speedway!
