Fromafar 10,338 Posted September 1, 2012 What I load of old cobblers.... Why let the paying public enter the stadium last night? Keith Denham had a big smile on his face when it was announced it was off last night? I wonder if that had anything to do with the poor crowd in the stadium? We all know they have called meetings of way to easy in the past I.e the Ipswich meeting last year when the sun was splitting the trees all day. Maybe if they had somebody doing the track who knew what they were doing then Workington speedway would be in a lot better position regarding rider happyness, attendances & rain offs! Track covers may be the answer in some situtions.

GM 26 Posted September 1, 2012 The meeting last night was never going to start never mind finish What a joke getting people's money like that are they really that desperate ? One hour to go until it would have been tapes up and there is hardly a cloud in the sky I know it's hard predicting the weather but considering the fixtures we need to fit in thought they would have took a little gamble for tonight

Gift 6 Posted September 1, 2012 Looking forward to skoobie volunteering to cough up to pay for the away riders travelling, the medical cover, the stadium rent, programmes etc for tonight had it gone ahead and then been called off - obviously he/she knows best how to run a Speedway team. "Supporters (sic) like that will unfortunately drive Workington Speedway into the ground". To misquote Skoobie. OK We've had some rubbish luck with the weather and injuries - we don't need the petty jibes as well - Lets get behind the team - the riders, the track staff and the management and make some positive noise for the Comets.

stemoc 187 Posted September 1, 2012 (edited) Well said Gift, if anyone wants to improve things then why not volunteer to help, if you think that things could be done better then you will never change things by talk alone" put your money where your mouth is" so as to speak and let's see you come forward with some practical support.
