tocha 306 Posted October 18, 2012 I am surprised that this fixture is still going ahead. Ipswich cannot now complete this 'competition' as Sheffield appear not to have a date free. Surely, it would have made more sense to have brought forward the 1st leg of the LC final against Somerset tonight leaving next Thursday free for the KOC final. The Witches would then still have the option of running the '16 lapper' on Weds 31st.
crescent girl 1,883 Posted October 18, 2012 Leaving Redcar or Berwick -- the northern winner will be revealed on Sunday after Glasgow's meeting -- high and dry with no-one to race in their final? Don't think so. Ipswich or Rye House will have one more northern trip, one more trophy final at home.

Perhaps Sheff results will be expunged and a simple aggregate used from Witches/Rye fixtures. If rain tonight Rye to be seeded through.
spanner47 336 Posted October 18, 2012 Sheffield rode on an off night when it suited them earlier in the season, but understandably they dont want a (pointless) loss making meeting against us. Not too sure if Ippo really want this meeting either. The only possible beneift of getting through is, if Newcastle & Berwick get through in the respective cups, then we could have a jolly nice Weekend 27th/28th, that would certainly suit me. Looks like if we're going to get anymore rain, it's due around teatime. If it does go ahead, then lets hope the Lads dont do anything daft, and save themselves for the big Meetings.

crescent girl 1,883 Posted October 18, 2012 Can't help thinking that the lovely aljack has gone walkabout these days. Is that thanks to Witches possibly lifting three major trophies after all --- or has it thankfully been banned?

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 10,683 Posted October 18, 2012 Does this mean Rye are through to PCT Final? Tecnically if Ipswich win at Sheffield by about 30 they could go through on better race points difference!!
crescent girl 1,883 Posted October 18, 2012 Tecnically if Ipswich win at Sheffield by about 30 they could go through on better race points difference!! But are they at Sheffield? And when -- Redcar can only stage Final on Thursday 25th, Berwick on Saturday 27th.
