Torun Gp 2013

Recommended Posts

Group of us flying out Stansted - Poznan on the Fri and back from Warsaw on Monday pm. Flights for these dates were as low as £60 last week. Will use the train to travel between these 3 great cities, total train ticket cost under £20.

Polish final on the Sunday at Tarnow-should be on TV if you can find a sports bar in Warsaw(if you are there on the Sun)

Hi guys, bit of help needed.

8 of us are now up for Torun to hopefully cheer Tai on to glory & our 1st World Champ since 2000.

Been looking at tickets & the whole stadium seems to be a sell out apart from the Main Stand where cheapest tickets are over £100. There's about 3 of us who will pay that but the other tight buggars wont!!!!!!

I was enlisted with the task of trying to find some cheaper tickets but clicked onto every block in the stadium apart from the main stand & all tickets seem to be taken.

No way would i travel there if i didnt have a guaranteed seat but the others are talking of going & trying to get tickets outside. I've told them that i arent sure if tickets would be available outside anyway & even if they were, they'd probably be dotted all round the stadium & not be sat together.

So, does anyone know what the chances are of them getting tickets outside?? I'm happy to pay my £100 & see Tai lift that World Crown!!!!

Polish touts are like any other touts-always at sporting events and always got tickets.A suggestion would be to email torun to ask if the standing tickets have gone on sale yet(they might have and sold out)klub@speedway.torun.pl

Struggling here as cant get response from Torun club re standing tickets & the only seating ones left are the £100 ones.

Looking for either 4 standing tickets now or 4 seated tickets in the cheaper seats.

Anyone got any spares or know anyone who has that they want to get rid of???

travel plus have tickets for a tour from luton staying two nights or its just £20 per person for the extra night to fly from leeds bradford, the chap i spoke to was seemingly a very likeable bloke, who told me how it was without putting me under any pressure. He says it will be all speedway fans together having fun, so i just wonder why people on here seem so rude about the company

I don't really see anyone bring rude about them, just generally questioning the need for organised tours in this day and age. You pay your money and make your choices though.

I commented on TP tours quite a bit and nothing was rudely put. The main comment was on the price they charge as you can book the tour yourself for a much cheaper price. It's only flight, ticket and hotel for the majority of GPs that are in town centres.

One reason why Bradford Ace can't buy a Torun ticket is because TP tours have bought plenty but will charge a higher price to buy from them. If that assumption about ticket prices is incorrect I'll apologise to TP tours and accept I'm wrong.

Same case as to why accomodation in Cardiff is difficult to get as TP tours bulk buy cheaper end price rooms and then sell them on with a nice profit on top.

I don't see anyone being rude about the company, merely stating that you can do these trips for a lot less money than being charged by TP. If you were expecting the chap on the other end of the line to be anything other than likeable then he would be in the wrong job. Ultimately you buy from them and it's kerching.

For what it's worth regarding getting tickets outside, there are usually blokes flogging tickets. Last time we had spare tickets to get rid of at the last minute outside Bydgoszcz (last GP of the season, Gollob being crowned) you couldnt give them away near the start time and we ended up with 4 or 5 tickets that were unused (having been given grandstand tickets on the day). I would doubt the group will get seats together, but shouldn't think you'll have too much trouble in laying your hands on tickets. Don't panic and pay over the odds 2 hours before the start - wait until 30 minutes or less to the start would be my suggestion. There's a bar, grab a drink :drink:

Rico

Having actual been on a TP tours I can say they offer excellent tour experience.

This isn't just a visit to the GP. We stayed in the top 5 star Sheraton hotel and were transported to the GP and back with personal tour guides who are great fun and mix with other fans on the tour! Inc the GP program and escorted into the stadium.

They often have optional tours to speedway meeting and other events over the weekend. This isn't just a visit to the GP it is a whole holiday experience.

Yes it can be done by yourself for if you fancy organizing all the transfers across Poland and stay on cheaper lower star holidays (which I have also done) but with TP tours you don’t have to worry about that and get the 5 star treatment. They go that extra mile to make it special and hassle free.

Torun trip this year sold out months ago but have managed to get a few more extra places just recently I understand.

These are just my own personal views on the tour I went on.
