Dudley Heathens V Kings Lynn Young Stars P/o Final 08/10/13

Recommended Posts

Likely Line Ups -

Dudley

1. Lewis Blackbird

2. Dan Greenwood

3. Ashley Morris

4. Max Clegg

5. Paul Starke

6. Gareth Isherwood

7. Nathan Greaves

Kings Lynn

1. Robert Lambert

2. Lewis Rose

3. Darren Mallett

4. Jake Knight

5. Lewis Kerr

6. Shane Waldron

7. Josh Bailey

For me this match will be won at reserve, with the Dudley pairing looking too strong for Waldron and Bailey (presuming it is Bailey). Hopefully the young stars will make a fight of it and keep it close.

Prediction - 52-40

Dudley must be huge favourites over the two legs, going to be hard enough for the Young Stars to win the home leg let alone on aggregate so they really do need to keep it tight on Tuesday.

Vital that Lewis Rose is fit and that the TR's are used to full effect. Agree that the Dudley reserves look much stronger but if Lynn's top five can all chip in you never know.

The engine room of Knight & Mallett is massive for us. 6-7 each from them might see us have a chance

I'm surprised that Dudley didn't insist on having the 2nd leg at Dudleywood but I suppose it's better to go into an away meeting knowing the home lead

Running out of Time, the managment went for the first two available dates and just so happens to be this Tuesday and Wednesday!

Still deciding on wether to go to the away fixture but would love to see a great match and hopefully see us win! In the Cup we were 28pts up at home but Lambert turned up in a very strange mood which saw him racing around like a madman on the parade doing practise starts just past the start line and was usherd on by the ref! Strange night for him!

Fingers crossed we win, should do but you never know!

If i dont go next wedneaday away we still have the Cup final to parade the trophy infront of our fans!

OMMER UM!

Sorry just thought for a final which you have a good chance of winning on current form(nothing being taken for granted) I thought I'd call it that

Well its about time we opened a thread on this one! The Cup match ended 56-34 in favour of the Heathens. I suspect this may be a little closer as Rob Lambert can't have another nightmare night like the last one. I still take the Heathens to win by 18 though. What do you think?

This is the repeat off the KO Cup meeting of a few weeks ago, In that one, basically Robert Lambert never turned up, and Lewis Kerr had some great races with The Heathens ht leaders, the big disappointment that night outside of Lambert was the Young Stars back up riders, Mallet and Knight, if Lewis Rose is fit, I would expect him to provide the support to the Top 2, and theres NO way, Lambert can be as disappointing as a few weeks ago, I expect the Young stars reserves to find this meeting a little bit tough for them. For the Heathens Im expecting Ash and Lewis to be the main men, Starkey has gone off slightly since wrecking his main bike a few weeks ago, but Danny Greenwood has returned to form, and is full of confidence now, Young Max had a bad knock a few weeks ago, and may not be fully fit, Gareth Isherwood drops down to reserve for the 1st time this season so should score well at home, and the away day specialist young Nathan Greaves needs to realise his Monmore problems are all in his head, come on Nathan. Im expecting a home win, double figures will be just fine, and set it up for the 2nd leg the next night at Kings Lynn, with probably a couple of coaches travelling over from Heathen land, and numerous cars backing them up, The support will be there, stay safe guys, and good luck. The men to note for me will be Dan Greenwood and Gareth Isherwood for The Heathens, and Lewis Rose and Jake Knight for The Young stars.

this should be a classic best two teams in league by far expect both to win at home think it could be decided by heats 12 and 14 in the second leg

I worry we won't even get close and like last night's playoff this could be all over tonight. So hope there's something to race for tomorrow.

COME ON YOUNG STARS!!!!!
