Hello,

Could you tell me if being disabled that I'd get a discount on entry?

Not sure about ALL Tracks - but - I'm sure some allow Disabled Entry as a Concession. Whatever the Concession Rate is at that Track.

Most tracks normally price disability entrances as concessions but if a helper is required they are usually free entrants I believe

I have paid concession rate at all the tracks I have been too but only 1 track offered free entry for a carer.

Shame, free entry for carers should be standard across all leagues

At Peterborough you would be able to park inside the Showground if you present a blue badge, and only pay concession rate. I suggest you contact the club about carers. As far as i'm aware, Ipswich do not provide any discount for disabled people, which is a very short sighted policy..

For Panthers fans, admission is at concession rate but carers do need their own admission ticket. Blue Badge parking is available inside the stadium.

why do you charge carers neil?? Thus doubling the cost for the disabled person who will have to pay the carers entry in most cases.... Without the carer, the disabled person doesn't attend so surely one paying concession rate is better than nothing at all??

Can I ask which track that was? I'm sure we (King's Lynn) allow free entry to registered carer's

Even Football clubs allow free entry to carers, its poor if that's not the case in speedway.

In the EL, only Kings Lynn, Wolverhampton and Lakeside offer "concessions" admission to registered disabled in the pricing structure on their web sites. NONE of them mention carers, or other helpers. Not looked at PL / NL web sites.

As for the rights and wrongs, short sightedness or other emotive language, that's up to the individual to decide. One thing's for sure though, whatever discounts the promoters offer will come out of their own pockets. No Local Authority will be providing grants from their Social Services budgets, to finance the discounts, nor will the promoters be getting anything off any charity to fund their generosity.
