Redcar Vs Berwick Ttt 1st Leg 27/03/14

Recommended Posts

Take a match box, one side cardboard SLICK, the other side a slither of sand paper GRIP. Now build up the sandpaper side with loose dand and try striking the match, you cannot get any grip to strike the match because it's like loose shale.

Road repair lay bitumen down only, VERY SLICK, put down a load of loose chippings down, put your brakes on,through the hedge no grip just loose gravel. Now put a thin layer of gravel on top of bitumen and roll it in, this gives you GRIP. It's what they lay down on roundabouts nowadays.

There seems to be a lot of fans believe grip has something to do with loads of shale, it really does not, all that is is a lot of loose shale, like we tend have at Shielfield around the fence. Now prepare a slick even track, then lay course shale on top and pack it in. Back to the match box, slick with grip on the surface. :o:o

Think you need to get some tribology lessons, Taffy.

What's the weather like, likely to be on? Just seen prior post

Been a couple of heavy showers but seems to have died down now. Weather due to clear up between 3 or 4 according to latest forecast. Meeting still on at the moment.

Consistent, but not really heavy rain now, forecast to clear around tea-time.

Comets early rain off last week, now Redcar postponed, hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Guess Lawson won't be riding for Redcar tomorrow with Lakeside been in action in the EL.

No Lawson tomorrow night for Redcar, they will use a guest.

What a farce....

Too many riders missing meetings and the season hasn't even started

Sure it will be worth it when we wiin the World Cup with Woffinden along with the likes of Morris Blackbird and Reade

In Lawsons case its quite understandable, there is no way Lakeside would've agreed to release him from their Elite League fixture with Swindon so he can race for Redcar in what's not much more than official practice.

I feel for the riders it's extra income in a meeting Richard would have scored well in and he probably would have knocked a few points in the EL too

Redcar I would say are weakened, Lawson always scores well against us
