Firstly, congratulations to Josh Bates. I don't like the guy, but he rode the inside line like a dream for the whole night, and it paid dividends.

 

Secondly, Jason Garrity was by far the best rider on show, but a truly awful piece of refereeing cost him a chance in the final. When three riders collide on bend one, and the rider on the outside of that trio falls, it should be all 3 back. The referee got it horribly wrong, but he had made a few terrible calls up to that point, so I was hardly surprised.
