Arson fire 4,785 Posted June 22, 2014 perhaps Cook Garrity Sneddon Barker etc could put their off track skills to good use and go and have word with this resident. winkcook will jump first, garrity and sneddon will then fight amongst themselves..... And Barker will get the blame
Goodiepatchie 417 Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Except when there is an FIM meeting on? The Dick Barrie 'tape' was on well before 6.45pm on the night of the original staging of the GP Qual. There appears to be a bit of confusion to what actually happened last night. Hopefully someone will tell us all the facts soon. am still holding my breath not expecting to breathe again Edited June 22, 2014 by Goodiepatchie

HadrianDog 291 Posted June 22, 2014 When there is no football on... Why don't Berwick start a bit earlier??... This curfew has caused more than a few problems over the years. Or if you know you have a curfew, make bloody sure you have the relevant cover should the meeting be held up for injuries or ambulances. And it does not need a track injury to delay a meeting. A couple of years back a spectator suffered what was announced as a suspected heart attack which the doc had to deal with. We stood around waiting for an ambulance etc. for a good while before the meeting just beat the curfew.

Planning restrictions don't allow racing to start any earlierNo doubt the SCB will order a full inquiry into the circumstances behind last nights fiasco , an investigation will take place but as always in speedway nothing will ever be announced or come of it . The White Knight 9,039 Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Well - I think I will wait for the Official verdict on this. samsplint 49 Posted June 22, 2014 I would just like clear up a couple of points 1. It was a PARAMEDIC that had to stand down due to feeling unwell(whatever the reason for that was), the doc was in the middle of a meal in Kelso but left straight away after being phoned, the doc was the club doctor Dr Fortune who has been involved with the speedway since the late 80's and there was nothing to question about him last night. 2. Music on the PA system is only allowed after 6.30pm the same time as bikes can be run, so you cant start a lot earlier as the bikes need to be warmed up. It was these same planning conditions that stopped the use of air horns at the speedway

bigeddiechek 1,094 Posted June 22, 2014 Lawson has to be very careful, as what he published, if not accurate, is defamation of character: a serious offence.

Drac 83 Posted June 22, 2014 In her opinion lawson should not have tweeted! She's got no reason to spin.. She'd have been the 1st to report had she questioned anyone's safety cos she's part of the team it would look bad on! What a load of crap, she's a Berwick die hard supporter so is bound to say whatever to keep the heat off. Berwick should be reprimanded for this which is a sad case, but you can't put people's lives at risk like this riders or fans. End of chat

Don't assume you know her on this when I can say for FACT, you'd be talking rubbish!
