westhamboy66 599 Posted August 20, 2014 The PL is suffering from this fast track rubbish. Re arranged fixture or not its ridiculous that Garrity will miss this one to ride for Coventry. He is owned by Rye House and loaned to Coventry and as such should ride whatever the circumstances for his parent club end of. All this does is make the PL look like circus in a similar way to how we have viewed the EL for many years. Just cancelled our hotel as it ain't worth the trip

The fast track has been great this year but bees have missed Garrity alot at home due to him riding him the PL and so have had to use riders much lower in the draft. Rye House arranged this meeting knowing Coventry were already riding so why should coventry be punished?

mdmc82 2,878 Posted August 20, 2014 Great for who? Kerr, Garrity, Newman, Worrall, blackbird, rose, Sarj, lambert to name a few

Speaking to Garrity at Cardiff he will paint you a different picture.... Don't be so blinkered. In essence these young lads are pivotal in winning EL matches, Garrity scored something like 17 points in one match.... Ask him what he got paid for it.

We are not blinkered, no they don't get paid much at all but then why does Garrity want to ride for Coventry so much. He makes no secret of it when interviewed. Day before u21 GB team event which meant he couldn't ride in PL, he was at Brandon in pits supporting the bees & also comes to work for free with the Coventry storm helping them in the pits. He was in agony on Monday night after his crash and was unable to ride back to pits or get off bike without help. Yet even though he was hardly being paid much and could have withdrawn, he came out for every race and gave 100%. Next year he won't be in the draft Edited August 20, 2014 by mdmc82

Next year he won't be in the draft How does all of what you have said mean the fast track has been great then??.... Of the riders you named previously, not one of them was a raw novice, they've been around PL or NL speedway for a good few years mostly?? If speedway looked after these lads there development would be secure, not binned off because or if they weren't scoring, which I'm sure would happen to them like it has others.
Lord Skid 425 Posted August 20, 2014 Kerr, Garrity, Newman, Worrall, blackbird, rose, Sarj, lambert to name a few And how much were the fans expected to pay for the privilege of watching these riders, looks like they voted with their feet at most tracks, the Cookie master plan for speedway domination forgot to take into account that speedway fans are very loyal, but not stupid.

It can be miles apart.

Alan_Jones 1,005 Posted August 20, 2014 Meanwhile, back at the match, Mason Campton is the guest for Garrity. Still waiting for the swelling on Boxall's ankle to go down to allow an x-ray.
Ben91 1,743 Posted August 20, 2014 Kerr, Garrity, Newman, Worrall, blackbird, rose, Sarj, lambert to name a few Because half their rides are against NL standard riders who they should be beating easily anyway. Garrity riding for Coventry has had a negative impact on his scores for his parent club. If he hadn't been handed to Coventry due to his high grade in the flawed fast track reserve system and their rubbish season last year I doubt he would have even been on any EL clubs radar for a reserve berth. He should be riding for Rye House on Saturday night regardless of what the rules may say.
Shadders 4,134 Posted August 20, 2014 Spot on Ben. Garrity has been a huge disappointment for Rye House this year. He may be doing the business for Coventy, but he's been very inconsistent for his parent team. Should've been knocking on an 8 point average by now. He would've progressed further if he'd put in 100% effort for the Rockets this year.
