Bspa Meeting With Ukv&i?

Recommended Posts

Have just had a friend on the phone telling me, he is reading various riders facebook comments and it looks like all aussie and american riders have been refused permits!

Speedway is in serious truble if thats the case.

What about those who have a 3 year visa?

Would also think new riders to UK last year ok as have the 2 years to obtain ave requirement?

apparently it wont matter. The word is all non EU riders will not be permitted to ride in either league.

Werent the BSPA warned a while ago that what they were doing regarding the 5 not 7 ave was wrong and the UKBA knew that they were upto? seems yet again that the BSPA has ####ed up but this time in a very big way!

taken from
How long you can stay?
You can come to the UK with a Tier 2 (Sportsperson) visa for up to 3 years.
So the ones already on this visa should be ok...?

That's not true

If all this is true then I can only assume that the meeting took place and the BSPA delegation behaved like speedway promoters.

Ricky Wells must be laughing because he was recently awarded indefinite leave to remain.

All existing tier 2 visas have been cancelled with effect from 1800 tonight, all sponsorship licences previously issued to promotions have also been cancelled. A rider on a 3 year Tier 2 Visa shou,ld only have ridden for one team throughout the entire 3 years. Promoters who have sold promotions and have failed to cancel their Sponsorship licence are facing large V and I fines for non compliance.

Tracks have been failing to keep up to date required records on each and every visa licenced rider.

All this traces back to the office staff not returning paperwork by a required date, think its time for an office staff cull.

So if Darcy Ward wins his appeal can he get a work permit to ride over here ? Asking re his escapade in Australia last winter. Would that count against him

So Ipswich having been issused 3 visas for Tungate, Heeps and Manzares for the start of 2014 will be ok then as all have only ridden for the Witches in that time?

Where as a rider who on his 2nd year rode on loan to another club would have their visa cancelled? But if its on loan would this not be ok?

Looks like it's time that the Parliamentary Group are involved, rather than only enjoying canapes on the Westminster terrace.
