BWitcher 12,453 Posted June 1, 2015 Once again, the sport has simply not learned. After two weeks of the sport looking great on tv, with a decent crowd and atmosphere, we're back to it being presented in a near deserted stadium. There is no hope.
nw42 2,048 Posted June 1, 2015 Well whatever the outcome fair play to them for getting the meeting started so quickly, here's hoping they get a break with the weather. Great pass by Holder, got his mojo back by the looks of it.

longmeadow 24 Posted June 1, 2015 this is sad. i remember the days when there were more track rakers walking out to fight of the bumble bee than fans here tonight.

BWitcher 12,453 Posted June 1, 2015 It looks like there's nobody there at all! About what is deserved. Promotion should hang their heads in shame.. 100 people paying £18 or a couple of thousand paying £5.. which I am sure they would have got if sold tickets in advance.

Never seen anything like that at an EL track. There must be less than 200 there.

waiheke1 4,295 Posted June 1, 2015 Fair point, but it wasn't the fans decided on "that rule", you know the one. 10 Heats, call it off and we'll laugh all the way to the bank while the fans go home short changed. I'll never go near a track when there's a threat of rain while that rule is in place, and I'm sure most sensible fans agree.Of course in the 80s there were no refunds if it went past heat 6...
