On the plus side : Welcome home Robbo the old skip and Eddie have four 5-1s in heats 13 and 15 this season already.

On the negative side : Shields then Maassen then Karger, you cant beat the Rye House due diligence.

To be fair to Maassen, I saw him have a good meeting at Berwick in the KO Cup. Apart from that he was pants. Haven't seen much of Karger, so it's a little early to judge. He needs to score points and quick. I've been told he didn't even have a team place in Denmark before we signed him with no, or very little racing experience. Edited by Shads

So now there have been a couple of meetings at Rye, what improvements have people noticed?

I've seen good comments about the stands but what about the track? Better prepared? 2nd bend camber gone, has it improved racing?

Presentation updated?

Program worth the money?

Fish & chips worth buying now?

Draught beer in bar?

Car park craters gone?

From my first visit of the year i would say track looks infinitely better, plenty of banking and gives a variety of racing lines and the ability to use the whole track. Did look like it had been packed quite hard and there wasn't much shale as always.

Presentation was also improved, bit of roaming mic action and the truck with constant flat tyre has gone too. Also a great touch with riders walking a lap of honour at the end giving a much more personal feel.

Fish was good beer still in cans but that doesn't worry me.

Car park still pretty rough, the craters now seem to be on the access road and a bit of a free for all with regards to spaces but ultimately i enjoyed my trip and will be looking to make more this year.

He can't be earning much with his points return.
