eM_Pe 49 Posted August 22, 2015 Opole results: 1. Poland 55 2. Czech Republic 29 3. Russia 24 4. Sweden 20 The Poles were close to perfection winning 16 out of the 20 heats (Piotr Pawlicki was unbeaten in 5 rides). This, together with the other 3 teams being quite close to each other, opened the gates quite wide for the Brits. Coming 2nd with at least 30 points should be achievable. eM_Pe 49 Posted August 22, 2015 Finland not scoring at all is the key for GB to go through. The scores suggest no double points have been used so far. Going above 29 should be simple then, all that's left is keeping Germany behind.

iris123 20,849 Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) lots of heats from the meeting on youtube, just search for "Andreas Abels".Looked at a couple of random heats and no passing at all....... This was very close to going right inside the white line!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhG18UbeNd4 See on the german forum a bit of a rubbishstorm because Robert Barth went on the track after the first heat and mishandled the Finn.Had him round the neck and had his fist ready to give him a whack......also saw that GB had a protest about Grobauer not going straight to the parc ferme with his bike after his last heat, but then withdrew it..... frigbo 514 Posted August 23, 2015 Getting humped by 10 points by Germany shows how little depth GB have, even at u-21 level.
